Verifiability not truth[edit]

Information icon Readers must be able to check that any of the information within Wikipedia articles is not just made up. This means all material must be attributable to reliable, published sources; this is demonstrated by inline citations. In the article on the Indonesia–Malaysia confrontation the cited source says 114 killed. Please have a go at reading books. There is a discussion of what different sources say on the article talk page. Please also read Wikipedia:Verifiability.-- Toddy1 (talk) 10:16, 23 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

November 2023[edit]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Battle of Izium, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Prolog (talk) 18:08, 23 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Information icon Your edits to the article on the Battle of Qala-i-Jangi made unexplained changes to the cited text. The changes made no sense. In one place you changed someone's rank, and in another place you added some statements about the same person using the rank given in the article before you changed it. These kinds of changes need to be explained using an edit summary and justified using sources.-- Toddy1 (talk) 20:36, 23 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

That's a US Army website, and it's okay to copy fron there, as long as it's properly attributed. — Diannaa (talk) 22:04, 23 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
