Vamlos (racialist and sock) is back[edit]

Hello @Drmies:! Vamlos/DerekHistorian is back editing Wikipedia articles again, including his racialist worldviews and content related to "Caucasoids". See[1][2][3]. As you blocked him, and probably are better informed about this case, I want to let you know about this sleeper account, now active since April 2022.213.162.80.160 (talk) 13:50, 9 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Good call! See Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/WorldCreaterFighter. Thanks. Drmies (talk) 14:05, 9 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
    • Thank you, I got aware by him of his edit at Uyghur people, where he restored a version edited by him. Not sure what is better, but anyway, it turned out that he was indeed a sock of him.213.162.80.160 (talk) 14:11, 9 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
      • Sure thing. It can happen that socks do useful work sometimes. Whether you want to revert that or not is a judgment call; editors are in their right to do so. Opinions differ on whether doing so is throwing out the baby with the bathwater (or cutting off your nose to spite your face), or whether leaving those edits is rewarding the sock... I have a tendency to leave decent edits, but this sockmaster is also a profoundly disagreeable person, and that Chloe Winkel bio was just fanboy stuff, showing a distinct lack of maturity. Thanks again, Drmies (talk) 16:08, 9 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Hey. What is this? I know it's you--do not think I do not know that, and do not think that I would hesitate to have the entire 213.162.80.0/23 range checked. Start talking, please, and stop harassing other editors. Drmies (talk) 21:23, 9 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
    • It was a serious mistake and personal-related issue rage, which happened to me, and I will take full responsibility for it. I will not do such a thing again, but if necessary I agree for being blocked for this, as it is a serious violation of Wikipedia rules. The real problem started when I got accused to be simply another sock of the user known as Vamlos, DerekHistorian, etc., who is a deeply racialist person, as can be seen in his edits and arguments. My main goal was to expose him (Vamlos) and all his socks, as well as other such racialist agenda accounts (such as Hunan201p or Tirgil34), and to counter them. But it got out of hand, and I verbally attacked another user who simply acted according to the Wikipedia rules, but in the moment I simply lost my patience. It is really difficult to try to actually help but getting lumped together with these accounts. Over time I got involved in such behavior too, as you already know, and I regret that, but what happened can not be undone anymore. It started with the early Tirgil34 cases, and his pan-Turkist edits and obsession with blonde haired warriors (very similar to Hunan201p views), which I wanted to counter after getting in touch on YouTube with this agenda, where he harrased other Wikipedians and calling for support of his movement. I simply fear that they will overtake articles in favor of their personal agenda. (It is probably stupid, as most people of the world do not even read these articles nor understand the exact meanings, but it causes the feeling of danger to me.) And it is sadly true that if I would not intervene, they would succeed in specific articles. I can not help myself. I simply don't know how I should react on this. I know that the simplest way would be to report and mention the unconstructive accounts, but in the past I was too impatient. But I am already trying to be more patient and not editing myself, as today (at least partially as you can see). I want to cooperate with Wikipedia and the admins. I am tired of getting involved in it, and it is making my life difficult, but I simply can not stop reacting on specific edits by such users, and trying to correct them. I do not want that, and if I hurt anyone, I apologize, specifically to Austronesier, who i actually doing a great job in improving articles, far better than me. But I hope that this bs at least makes other editors aware that many people (or agendas) are trying to take advantage of specific Wikipedia articles, and are not detected by admins or other editors. I will not harass him (or other editors) anymore, and I want to apologize. The reason for my rage was that he blindly revert my edits without checking it, and without checking the unconstructive versions he reverted too. But in the end it was partially also my fault, as I once used his trust, and violated rules too. And since than he seems to have negative thoughts about my actions. I can actually understand it. Sorry for the problems. Really. I hope you can at least understand what I mean. Thank you for reading my short explanation, maybe it makes some things more clear.213.162.80.160 (talk) 23:35, 9 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
