Prabook[edit]

Hi, welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. I noticed you’ve been using Prabook as a source in a number of articles. Unfortunately, Prabook isn’t a reliable source, because it’s a mix of user generated content and content scraped from other sites, like Marquis Who’s Who (which is unreliable per the consensus at WP:RSP) and even Wikipedia itself. Are there any other reliable sources you’ve found that use instead? Thank you, Politanvm talk 20:01, 22 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, the subject of the article is very well-documented by independent reliable sources within his field of notability. Unfortunately, that field tends to be a bit behind the times with regards to technological usage, relatively speaking, so many of the good sources that I've already found are books and newspaper entries not easily found on the web, which will take a bit more time and effort to transcribe, but I will still do it anyways as my resources are able (time and access to library as an example). Thanks for expressing the concern. Best, 438 West Grand Broadway (talk) 20:17, 22 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I know it's tedious. I see Kuru has already removed the Prabook references. As a note, it's okay if a source isn't available on the Internet, as long as it is "accessible" in some way if someone were to seek it out (e.g., in at least one library, in a book store, in a museum, etc.). See Wikipedia:Published for more information. I don't know if it's what you meant by "transcribe", but there's no need for you to type up or scan an offline source to publish it on the Internet. As long as the reference has enough detail for someone to find the book or newspaper for themselves, that should be enough. Let me know if you have any questions. Hello 438. Came across your page on me late last night and purposely left you alone so you wouldn't get banned (do admins actually follow my edits? I don't know, which is why I kept away), but wanted to thank you for thinking of me and especially of Bevel (which is what my page would have been notable for). Maybe too early yet, but you gave it a good article when it can be filled in. Thanks. Randy Kryn (talk) 21:36, 23 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
