Information icon Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that you recently removed some content without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; I restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Information icon Hello, I'm Arjayay. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to the main body of Victor P. Tsilonis. Generally, any relevant external links should be listed in an "External links" section at the end of the article and meet the external links guidelines. Links within the body of an article should be internal Wikilinks. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 11:13, 4 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding external links in the body-text, as explained above - Arjayay (talk) 08:15, 6 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Agnostosnous - thank you for your e-mail - as explained on my talk page "I will probably reply on your talk page, or the article talk page, as discussions should be open and on the record".
Taking your points in order:-
  1. Use of full names in articles - as explained in my edit summary, this contravenes WP:LASTNAME as, other than the initial use, only the last name should be used to refer to people
  2. As for the "Dr" this is covered by WP:CREDENTIAL - do not use academic titles (Dr, Prof etc} - as was explained in my edit summary of 11.12 on 4 October
  3. The use of External links in bodytext was explained at 11.13 on 4 October above with a link to the external links guidelines
  4. The "vandalism" occurred because, despite the above explanation about external links at 11.13 on 4 October, you re-added the external links to the bodytext at 14.29 on 04 October
Please read the external links guidelines carefully, we do not want masses of links to generic articles, just a few relevant links, and most of these are better added as references as per referencing for beginners
Upon reviewing the current article, there are already far too many external links, so I have tagged the article for clean-up
Finally, although not raised in your e-mail, you included a reference citing Wikipedia, which is not a reliable source so should not be used as a reference, although a Wikilink may be pertinent
If you have any more questions please ask them here - thank you - Arjayay (talk)
