A tag has been placed on America in bloom requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi. I have removed most of the material you added to the article, for two reasons:

By all means expand the article with more brief, neutrally-written information about what the organization does; but please read Wikipedia is not here to tell the world about your noble cause and Your first article. Your first priority should be establish notability, a requirement to have a Wikipedia article, which is not a matter of opinion but needs to be demonstrated by showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." Significant means more than just listing-type mentions; reliable excludes Myspace, Facebook, blogs, places where anyone can post anything; independent excludes the subject's own website, affiliated ones and anything based on press releases.

When the article was proposed for deletion last year, the concern expressed was:

Non-notable organisation. The coverage consists only of press releases in non-independent sources and passing mentions in local media. Coverage in secondary sources is not a head count, what matters is the depth of the coverage.

Although any PRODded article is restored on request, I shall notify user 94.212.31.237 (talk · contribs · WHOIS) who proposed it, and s/he may choose to nominate it at WP:Articles for deletion; that would start a debate lasting seven days, to which you would be welcome to contribute, but adding independent sources would be the best way to avert that.

A minor point: although posts on talk pages should be signed, article contributions should not - because no article belongs to any author, see WP:Ownership of articles; contributions are all recorded in the article history.

Finally, a major point: if you are connected with the organization, please read our guideline for those editing with a WP:Conflict of interest.

Your username[edit]

I am slow today. Only when I saw "Aib2009" in the list of contributors to the article did I realise that your username includes the organisation's initials. That could be a problem if it was thought to indicate that yours is a "role account" belonging to the organisation. It is a strict rule that Wikipedia accounts must be for individuals, who are wholly responsible for them; accounts found to be shared or which appear to belong to an organisation are blocked. I do not think this need be a problem provided it is understood, and you explain to anyone who challenges it, that the account belongs to you as an individual and not to AIB. If objections are raised, or if you prefer to avoid the possibility, you can apply at WP:CHU to change username, or you can simply abandon this account, which has few edits so far, and set up a new one. If you do that, let me know your new username.
