Regarding Swire, it is actually a Hong Kong company with HQ in Hong Kong registered in Hong Kong, not London. They are part-owned and controlled by a British family, but the company is not British ... the same as The Independent ... they are co-owned by the Lebedevs, but that does not mean that the Independent is a Russian newspaper. Probably, it comes from some fundamental misunderstanding in terms of the English language and international company law by some folk (people) in Hong Kong, who knows! ...
