Friendly

Resolved
 – No issue. --ANowlin: talk 19:31, 5 July 2010 (UTC)

Hello! You and I were editing an article at the same time. It was one of the first times I used Friendly to add a comment on the article writer's talk page welcoming him but telling him that his article was an unreferencedBLP. After I edited, the author edited again, and I saw shortly after that you had reverted the edit back to mine. I wondered if I had used the welcome correctly? Apologies if I erred in some way. Thanks, Pianotech (talk) 18:11, 5 July 2010 (UTC)

What was the article in question? --ANowlin: talk 18:12, 5 July 2010 (UTC)
It was James_Harrison_(English_Singer) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pianotech (talkcontribs) 18:14, 5 July 2010 (UTC)
Well, looking at the history, someone blanked the page, and I reverted back to your edit, where you added the unreferenced BLP tag. You didn't do anything wrong.--ANowlin: talk 18:17, 5 July 2010 (UTC)
Ok, thanks. I'm eager but still learning, so wanted to make sure. Thanks for the quick reply. Pianotech (talk) 18:19, 5 July 2010 (UTC)
No problem! --ANowlin: talk 18:26, 5 July 2010 (UTC)

K Graham Signature

Moved to Commons:Commons:OTRS/Noticeboard

Dear Anowlin,

I understand the nature of the internet and the ability to share images and information.

But can you please respect the rather more delicate circumstances surrounding K Graham's signature - can you pelase remove it from his page.

This will help protect him from people misusing his identity.

Cheers

An IP user went through and removed signatures from several profiles, most of which I reverted. I saw K Grahm come up again (edited by a different IP) after I reverted, and there was a note with it. I have respected the note and not reverted since. I will see that the signature is removed. If it gets restored again, please don't hesitate to contact me. --ANowlin: talk 23:59, 5 July 2010 (UTC)
  • This notice has been added to the page: Per the request of a representative of Dr. Grahm, please do NOT restore the signature image. Dr. Grahm has expressed concerns of identity theft linked to his signature being posted on this site.
Mmm, fair enough; it was looking a bit like edit-war. Can we say something on the talk page, please, to show we've discussed it? Thanks.  Chzz  ►  00:03, 6 July 2010 (UTC)
I think that can be done. Meanwhile, I've requested that the image be deleted from Wikimedia Commons. --ANowlin: talk 00:11, 6 July 2010 (UTC)
I have restored it for now, until Mr Graham or his office contacts OTRS to verify the removal request. fetch·comms 00:21, 6 July 2010 (UTC)
Anowlin, re. requested deletion - where? I see no tags on File:Kennedy Graham signature.svg or File:Kennedy Graham signature.jpg ?  Chzz  ►  01:05, 6 July 2010 (UTC)
Should show on the Wikimedia info page for the svg file. I don't know if there is a jpg. --ANowlin: talk 01:55, 6 July 2010 (UTC)
  • Issue tagged as Resolution Pending until OTRS authenticates the removal request. --ANowlin: talk 02:00, 6 July 2010 (UTC)
  • Status Change I changed this to "Unresolved." Discussion of this issue should continue at OTRS once the request is authenticated. --ANowlin: talk 12:41, 6 July 2010 (UTC)

Catherine Delahunty signature

Moved to Commons:Commons:OTRS/Noticeboard

Dear Anowlin,

I understand the nature of the internet and the ability to share images and information.

But can you please respect the rather more delicate circumstances surrounding Catherine Delahunty's signature - can you please remove it from her page.

This will help protect her from people misusing her identity.

PS I see elsewhere on this Talk page that someone suggests staff from these Green MPs' offices email OTRS to verify our request. Can you please advise how to do this? I'm not very familiar with editing wiki - am just trying to do what Catherine asked. Thanks heaps! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lichen12 (talkcontribs) 02:02, 6 July 2010 (UTC)

Please contact OTRS to authenticate your request. Instructions should be on the Manual removal of signatures without this authorization will be reverted. --ANowlin: talk 02:12, 6 July 2010 (UTC)
  • Issue should be discussed further at OTRS. --ANowlin: talk 12:41, 6 July 2010 (UTC)
For future reference, the general OTRS email is info-en-q@wikimedia.org . fetch·comms 17:19, 6 July 2010 (UTC)

Author blanking

Resolved
 – Information Only

Is the only time it's okay to blank an article. Note that Author-blanked and g7 are the same thing... although it is odd that new user knew that fact. Anyways, please be careful to not revert such an edit as it confuses the new user and can be considered biting. Thanks -Tommy! [message] 16:27, 6 July 2010 (UTC)

I thought G7 covered something else, and thought a different user posted it. --ANowlin: talk 16:28, 6 July 2010 (UTC)
Nope.. same thing (unless the author says s/he wants it deleted, also g7). You may want to check out WP:CSD for more info. -Tommy! [message] 16:33, 6 July 2010 (UTC)

problem about "Boban Marjanovć"

Resolved

Hi Anowlin, I have created page with name Boban Marjanovć, but name of that basketball player is Boban Marjanović! So I deleted first page and created right one- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boban_Marjanovi%C4%87

You now understand why I want to delete the first one? —Preceding unsigned comment added by AirWolf10 (talkcontribs) 16:35, 6 July 2010 (UTC)

Instead of completely blanking the original page, please place a redirect. But now I see why this happened, someone was like me one night and couldn't type! Sorry for the confusion/inconvenience. --ANowlin: talk 16:38, 6 July 2010 (UTC)

one more thing

Resolved
 – An administrator already created a re-direct, and fixed the roster in question. --ANowlin: talk 17:41, 6 July 2010 (UTC)

I saw few minutes ago that someone deleted unwanted page. So only one thing left to we finish this. How to now place Boban Marjanović in "PBC CSKA Moscow" team? There is still red word "Boban Marjanovć" in their roster. Can you redirect to original "Boban Marjanović" that red word? Thanks! —Preceding unsigned comment added by AirWolf10 (talkcontribs) 16:58, 6 July 2010 (UTC)

An administrator has already configured a redirect for this page, therefore fixing the red link. --ANowlin: talk 17:39, 6 July 2010 (UTC)

I've tried to fix an inconsistency, but then the edit has been reverted

Please look at Talk:Medical record#I've tried to fix an inconsistency, but then the edit has been reverted. --79.20.147.77 (talk) 20:39, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
