Dylan edits

No. I think "His recordings with drums electric bass and guitar instrument resulted in controversy and criticism from some in the folk movement who earlier had denounced Dylan for writing more personal songs and no longer writing political songs." is horrible writing.

The last version I thought was OK was: " Leaving his initial base in the culture of folk music behind, Dylan revolutionized perceptions of the limits of popular music in 1965 with the six-minute single "Like a Rolling Stone".[5] His recordings backed by rock musicians attracted denunciation and criticism from others in the folk movement."

The Artist changed it to the current version with the strange comment: ("rock musicians", a lot of them would have pulled a knife on anyone who called them that - added germane context soorly missing from lead)

Please turn current version into something more literate & less horrible. I just made one edit, taking an earlier part of the first para back to a version I though was better, and which had been there for ages. I'm waiting to find out if The Artist changes that. I left 2 polite messages on his Talk page, suggesting ways we could reach consensus, but he just deleted them. Best wishes Mick gold (talk) 18:52, 5 January 2012 (UTC)

I would prefer "His recordings backed by rock musicians attracted denunciation and criticism from others in the folk movement." to "However, his recordings employing electric instruments attracted denunciation and criticism from others in the folk movement." Surely the significance of LARS and the H61R album was that they transformed Dylan into a major figure in rock culture in 1965. Mick gold (talk) 19:27, 5 January 2012 (UTC)

Hello, Artoasis. There's currently a dispute at the above named article, which you've worked on in the past. If you can find the time, I would appreciate it if you could comment on matters on the talk page. Cheers. Polisher of Cobwebs (talk) 19:53, 8 January 2012 (UTC)

Thank You!

Thank you for your recent assistance in assessing articles for WikiProject Biography. In the past couple of months, I have become one of the few Wikipedians to actively continue checking the assessment request list, and any assistance is greatly appreciated especially since about half of the requests currently pending on that list are older ones that I submitted. --TommyBoy (talk) 14:49, 13 February 2012 (UTC)

WikiProject Biography Assessment Help Needed

As one of the few Wikipedians to continue actively checking the WikiProject Biography assessment requests page, I would like to request your assistance in resolving a dispute I am having with User:Highschoolpuppettier regarding my determination that the La Digue article is not within the scope of WikiProject Biography. Despite my removal of the article from the assessment requests list and subsequent explanation of my reasons for that action on his UserTalk page, he has re-submitted the article for assessment by WikiProject Biography. Any assistance you can provide in resolving this matter, and in reviewing other assessment requests pending on the WikiProject Biography page would be most appreciated. --TommyBoy (talk) 09:12, 28 March 2012 (UTC)

Following up on my previous comments, the issue regarding the La Digue article assessment has been resolved. --TommyBoy (talk) 07:51, 29 March 2012 (UTC)

I wonder...

if you looked at the edit summaries. And why you gotta use my Talk page, and not the Talk page of the relevant article. Weird. The Artist AKA Mr Anonymous (talk) 08:26, 10 April 2012 (UTC)

Use of derviative works templates

As the leading editor in terms of edit count of {{Great Expectations}}, I am alerting you to the discussion about the use of derivative works templates in author bio articles at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Novels#Derivative works and cultural references templates. We are discussing whether they should be removed from or collapsed or left alone in the author's articles.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 23:46, 3 May 2013 (UTC)
