Thank you for providing a reliable, published source for a date of birth for Linda Evans. I appreciate that documentation.

To answer your question, "Who's the nutbag deleting birthdates . . .", I have deleted many of them, so I am probably the "nutbag" to whom you referred. However, to classify my deletions of dates of birth of living people as "for no reason" is not quite accurate. Let me mention the main reason for which I have deleted dates of birth.

WP:BLPPRIVACY says, in part, "Wikipedia includes full names and dates of birth that have been widely published by reliable sources, or by sources linked to the subject such that it may reasonably be inferred that the subject does not object to the details being made public." The only way to verify such publication is by citing a valid source (as you did with the citation to the book). Without such a citation there is no way to know that the date has "been widely published".

In response to your comment, "to remove it with no explanation is asinine", I did not remove the date "with no explanation". If you look at the article's revision history, you will see that on August 26, 2022, I put in the edit summary: "Reverted addition of unsourced date of birth. WP:DOB". There I gave the reason as the date's being unsourced and provided a link to the relevant Wikipedia policy. At the same time, I inserted the comment "Valid citation required for date of birth for BLP. (WP:BLPPRIVACY)" in the location for value of the birth_date parameter.
