Welcome[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia!
Hello, Bunny-chan, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type helpme on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! — Kyoko

-"Hello, and thanks for your compliments regarding my work on the article Pulmonary hypertension. I noticed that nobody had welcomed you, so here is my welcome. I want to point out a couple of things while I am here.

1. If you want to make a link to an article and you are within Wikipedia (either editing an article or a talk page), you can type article name.

2. When you leave a talk page message, be sure to sign it. You can sign the message by either a) typing four tildes, as in ~~~~, or b) clicking on the signature button, located at the right of the "crossed out W" in the edit toolbar.

3. Please use the "Show preview" button before you save a page. (Advice I could use myself.) This will help you avoid saving mistakes.

Thanks again for your compliments, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia! --Kyoko 19:13, 11 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your edit to Lorraine Tsoanele Maphala[edit]

A tag has been placed on Lorraine Tsoanele Maphala, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable (see the guidelines for notability here). If you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add hangon on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.

Please read the criteria for speedy deletion (specifically, articles #7) and our general biography criteria. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Ohconfucius 06:33, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, but I didn't write that article.

Dragonball Wiki[edit]

 • Hi there. I noticed you're fan of the Dragon Ball series, and I'm trying to recruit some fans from here to contribute to the Dragon Ball Wiki. It's in terrible shape right now with pretty much no consistency or policies, and only this week have I been able to get Angela and Sannse to create some Forums for us over there. I've got a proposed Manual of Style going over there and would like some people to contribute to that to set up some policies and start making the wiki bigger, better, and more intelligible/consistent. If you're interested, please hop on over or talk to me. Thanks for the time, whether you're interested or not. Wildyoda 08:41, 19 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Which article was that?[edit]

Hello, you were congratulating me for redoing an article, but you neglected to say which one. I'm curious which one you were talking about. I'll take a look at your suggestion. Thanks. --Kyoko 18:51, 11 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

feedback on your edits to Crigler-Najjar syndrome[edit]

Hi Bunny-chan, I'm sorry I didn't get back to you earlier. I misread your message on my talk page, where you asked if what you added to Crigler-Najjar syndrome (seen in this diff) was necessary or not. I've changed the intro, as seen here.

I explained my thoughts here, but I'll repeat some of them here for your convenience. I strongly feel that Wikipedia medical articles should be accessible to the general reader who may be intelligent but who may not have a medical or scientific background. I also tend to think that articles should progress from simple to complex, or from general to detailed coverage. I think your contribution was good, but perhaps a bit too technical to be included in the introductory paragraph. What you added might work in the introduction if less jargon is used, but it might be even better if you made a "Diagnosis" section.

You may be interested in this proposed guideline for how to structure articles on medical topics.

I hope my changes to the article are agreeable to you, and I hope that these suggestions are helpful. I might edit the article on and off, and hopefully improve it. --Kyoko 13:52, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I fixed some formatting mistakes in my prior message, so hopefully it makes more sense now.
I trust you're aware about Wikipedia's copyright policy, right? I just want to make sure that the content that I hid underneath the intro isn't a direct copy off another website, which would most likely be prohibited.
If you want to include the information but you're not sure how to reword it, let me know, and I'll try to rewrite it (unless if you would rather rewrite it). I also suggest typing the source website of the information on the Crigler-Najjar syndrome talk page, so that I or someone else can cite it in the proper format.
I've added the article to my watchlist, and I plan on working on it from time to time. --Kyoko 21:16, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Cinco de Mayo greetings[edit]

Hi Bunny-chan, my Cinco de Mayo has been fine so far, a bit low-key, but I'm more in the mood to relax than party right now anyway. Thanks for asking. I hope your day has also been good. --Kyoko 00:46, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

signature help[edit]

Anybody can have a coloured sig, though as the sig gets more and more complex, the code required also gets more and more complex. Therefore, very complex sigs are frowned upon by some editors.

There's some info on modifying your sig at WP:SIG.

For my signature, I went to "my preferences" and put the following in the "Signature" box:

<font face="arial" color="#8652b9">Kyok</font><font face="arial" color="#BA55D3">o</font>

After that, I ticked the "Raw signature" box and saved the changes. You may have to clear your browser's cache to see the result. The page Web colors has hex codes for the different colours. I hope this helps. --Kyoko 02:47, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm glad you understood my instructions. Please don't belittle yourself, everyone was a beginner at one time. If you would like to further modify your signature, you can change the colour where the funny combinations of letters and numbers are. You would do this by substituting the hex code for the colour you want. You can also make the signature point to your talk page instead, or a combination of your user and talk pages, the way I do. --Kyoko 05:51, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I wouldn't have known that you were in special ed. classes had you not mentioned it, and it doesn't matter to me anyway. What matters is your character: how hard you try, how well you treat others, etc. The instructions at WP:SIG on how to change your signature are confusing for anyone. It took me many tries to figure it out. --Kyoko 13:32, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

how I am[edit]

Hi Bunny-chan, I'm doing fine, thank you, just very busy. I remember you asked for my help with the Crigler-Najjar syndrome article, and I'm sorry I haven't done more. I'll try to work more on it in the future. How are you? --Kyoko 15:12, 3 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh no! How long have you felt like this? If it's been more than a day or two, maybe you should consider seeing a doctor. I hope you feel better soon. --Kyoko 20:25, 3 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I see. I assume you've consulted digestive system specialists, right? I don't know what to say. --Kyoko 21:14, 3 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry to hear about your difficulties. I'll say more, later, by e-mail. FYI, you shouldn't type out your e-mail address on Wikipedia, where spambots can easily pick up your address. Take care, Kyoko 01:00, 4 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'll try to reply sometime today or tomorrow, OK? I have a request about my talk page: in the future, if we are having a single conversation, could you please keep them under a single heading, the same way that this "how I am" conversation is? It makes it easier to follow the conversation, and keeps my talk page neater. When you have an entirely different subject, or if some time has passed, then a new heading would be good. Also please remember to sign your post with ~~~~. Thanks, and have a good day! --Kyoko 19:50, 4 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm fine, thanks. I just wish the weekend were longer. And you? --Kyoko 20:28, 4 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That's good, I guess. I have a suggestion for you: open another Wikipedia if you can. In that tab, click on "my preferences" at the top of your computer screen. There is a section called "Signature". In that section, you can type Bunny. Check the "Raw signature" box below. Then click on the "Save" button. Then refresh your computer cache (done different ways on different browsers). When you follow these directions, all you have to do is type ~~~~ (four tildes, button at the top left of your keyboard), and it will display this:
Bunny 20:48, 4 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
This way, you don't have to type out your signature after every message. --Kyoko 20:48, 4 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

please wait[edit]

Hi Bunny-chan, I said I'd write you, but I am feeling very sick right now and I don't have much energy. I will try to write to you when I feel better. Right now I am going back to bed. Please be patient. Thanks. --Kyoko 22:08, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Bunny-chan, I'm still not feeling well, but I am doing better than earlier in the week. I will try to get back to you some time this weekend. Thanks. --Kyoko 15:24, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
