Hello. The Summary section of To the Memory of Mr. Oldham appears to have been lifted wholesale from the book that you refer to. If this is the case it will be a breach of copyright and must be removed. Can you rewrite this section in your own words? Regards andy (talk) 14:56, 10 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Summary section of To the Memory of Mr. Oldham[edit]

Apart from the acknowledged quotes the Summary section of To the Memory of Mr. Oldham is written in my own words. Please do not accuse of committing copyright violation if you are not entirely sure about it.

  • I am entirely sure about it now. This goes beyond fair use and the section should be rewritten entirely in your own words. It would be fair use if either you were discussing the notes themselves or if you wanted to use one or two of the notes as illustrations to make some point or other, but in fact that section is made up entirely of quotes the purpose of which is to build the argument and not merely to support it. andy (talk) 10:00, 12 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest / recent publications[edit]

Hello Ccaspar, if you are the book's author (assuming from your username) or are connected to him, please do not misuse Wikipedia to popularize recent publications (see WP:BOOKSPAM and also WP:COI for more information). Content contributions from topic experts are greatly appreciated of course, but ideally these contributions should be based on sources from other experts to avoid any conflict of interest and original research. Thank you for your consideration. If you have further questions, please feel free to ask me. Best regards. GermanJoe (talk) 07:20, 1 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
