Re:Please revise my website[edit]

Hi Cvdwalt, and welcome to Wikipedia. First of all, let me apologise for calling the link you inserted "malicious spam". The reason I thought it was a malware site is because all I saw was a blank screen and a prompt to download an applet, which is usually a dead giveaway of such sites. I removed your edits to those articles in their entirety as well because I thought the text must have just been something of a ruse. Sorry about that too. In any case, there are a couple of problems with what you added to those articles. First of all, according to the Wikipedia policy found at WP:EL#Links normally to be avoided (item #8) a website such as the one you linked to that requires the installation of such an applet should not be included in an article. As you can see, before you updated the site I mistook it for something very harmful. It would be quite easy for people to make that same mistake, so I'm going to move the links from the text you added to the "External links" section. Another editor may very well remove them entirely, in which case you should talk about it on the article's talk page. Secondly, you didn't cite sources for any of the information you added. You can go to WP:RS and WP:CITE to see what should be done about that. Again, sorry for calling your website spam, and happy editing. Robotman1974 21:55, 7 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again Cvdwalt, You should bring up your concerns at Talk:Artificial intelligence and get a discussion going with other editors over those links. Someone else has removed them, and it doesn't appear that they'll be accepted in those articles, but it's best to talk about it with other editors nonetheless. Cheers. Hi again, I had just removed the link from Artificial intelligence when I saw the note on my talk page. That link should really be placed in the "External links" section below the article, as long as it complies with the policy at WP:EL. Happy editing. Robotman1974 08:12, 8 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I left you an answer on my talkpage regarding the same subject. --Dirk Beetstra T C 07:14, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
