Proposed deletion of Personal property appraisal[edit]

The article Personal property appraisal has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article doestn appear to be encyclopeidc rather a public service message about property appraisal in the united states

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Materialscientist (talk) 22:28, 7 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Request reason:

My article was slated for deletion because it did not have any references in it, so I added links to the IRS page which defines a qualified appraiser as discussed in my article. Then I added a link to The Appraisal Foundation's "minimum requirements for personal property appraisers" link which establishes the USPAP standards I reference in my article. I did not realize that it was an improper way to reference the article. The next link I added was on a page about the cut of a diamond. The diamond cut is also used for synthetic gems and colored gemstones, so I added a link where I illustrated the information on my web site. I didn't realize that it was an improper way reference the topic. Since I am an antique appraiser, author, and lecturer I also added a link from the page about antique appraisal experts since I am one. My apologies if this is the incorrect format. I will certainly review the policy on external links and adhere to them.Dcinamon (talk)

Decline reason:

Contrary to the impression given in your unblock request, you added the same link to nine pages.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9] If unblocked, are you intending to add this link again? PhilKnight (talk) 16:21, 11 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

This was the first time I tried to contribute an article. The first notice in my talk section was because the article appeared to be commentary, I made some changes and submitted it. I continued to work and adding the external links that I realize now are inappropriate, but when I saw the flags and went back to look at it, I didn't realize that there were additional warnings below the original comments to the article I tried to amend. I would have stopped adding external text if I had seen the notices, but as they were further down the page, and I am unfamiliar with the entire process, I didn't see that I was going to be blocked until it was too late. I tried to outline why I added the links in the previous request to unblock in the hopes that it would illustrate my intent. But honestly, I simply didn't seem the block notice until it was too late. I am not a scammer or a spammer. I am a published author. Why I realize that it was my ignorance of your process, it honestly was not intentional Dcinamon (talk) 20:50, 26 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Question: You won't be unblocked unless you explicitly agree to stop adding conflict of interest links to your own site. What type of edits do you intend to make if unblocked? OhNoitsJamie Talk 21:22, 26 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
