Sorry I can't be of more help, but I don't really know much about this issue. I don't regularly edit that page, I'm just a copyeditor sometimes, so I was just trying to clean up the formatting and grammar.

As for your signature when you sign comments on talk pages, you can just put ~~~~ at the end of your comment (rather than the beginning); that's what's most common.

Anyway, keep up the good work! It's good to see that you're already jumping in and getting involved in the discussions...discussing changes and edits is how we build consensus and is one of the most important parts of Wikipedia!
