Rosario Marin[edit]

The statement you keep putting into the Rosario Marin article is very interesting and would certainly add to that particular section, but it needs a source. How do you know that this is the case and, more important, how do all other Wikipedia users know it- how is it verifiable? The Original Historygeek (talk) 22:10, 21 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The cite for the proposition that state lawyers represent "the state" would come under the category of "duh." The state hires lawyers to represent the state. People who engage in private business interests (such as making public speeches for money) hire private attorneys to represent their private business interests. Marin chose to engage in private business activities without an attorney (on account of she's so smart)and got the CFPPC to fall for her bs that the state's lawyers lead her astray.

Well, unfortunately, "duh" does not meet Wikipedia guidelines- as linked above- for a reliable source. For instance, how you do know Marin neglected to tell the Commission about her consultation with state attorneys? Is there a transcript, report, or article publicly available for all to see? That is the threshold you have to meet, otherwise it is just you, ElvisWasMyDaddy, telling us what Marin did or did not tell the Commission. It has nothing to do about what the function of state attorneys do or who they serve. It has everything to do with what you claim Marin did not do. The edit will be reverted- please adhere to Wikikpedia guidelines in the future. The Original Historygeek (talk) 18:56, 22 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the reply- I answered over on the Marin article talk page to avoid all the skipping around! The Original Historygeek (talk) 05:59, 23 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
