Jesús T. Piñero

Hello Original Historygeek, how are you doing? I saw your edit in the Jesús T. Piñero article. Good call! But, since you are a history geek, I would like to inform you that Juan Bernardo Huyke was not the first native born interim governor. That distinction belongs to Juan Ponce de León II who in 1578 assumed the governorship of Puerto Rico until the arrival of Jerónimo De Agüero Campuzano. Re:Governor question

Hola mi amigo, I always enjoy interacting with others who are interested in history.

Now, in regard to your question: Do you know of any logical reason why Rafael Hernandez Colon would not be considered the 4th and 6th governor of Puerto Rico?

Logic tells us that we have had only nine individuals democratically elected governors of Puerto Rico. When a governor wins an election and later serves consecutive terms upon his/her relection their administration is counted as one, where upon there is an "unwritten law" somewhere that most likely states that if a running governor loses an election and is reelected on a rebound four years later, his administration will be counted as a new one and hence in Hernandez Colon's case, who served in two non-consecutive terms, he was both #4 and #6. Simlilar to Pres. Grover Cleveland. Logic? no. Practical? maybe.

I hope that you don't get too frustrated here with some people when it comes to discussing politics. A lot of people think that they know everything y no saben nada. They do not seem to get it into thier heads that Wikipedia is an educational project and not a political forum.

I enjoy writing about the positive contributions which Puerto Ricans and Hispanics have made to society and the world in general and about historical facts which have often been omitted from history books either by biased historians or because such facts have fallen into the "cracks" of history. It makes me feel good when my work has been recognized by goverments, etc. I even found out that "El Boricuazo" feed of my work for his book, not bad, right? Aqui estoy a tus ordenes. Cardozo

No problem; as for restoring, I just went to the history for the page, and went back to just before his-then-first edit in the sequence. You edit that old version, and save directly, thus restoring the page to what it was before the changes started. Magidin (talk) 14:58, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

Leslie Sanchez

I agree that the complete DOB should not be listed- not because of someone's claim that they are a friend of hers and she would like it kept off, but because there is no readily, easily accessible article out there that links her to it. Images in userspace

Even though you're using it to help with editing a mainspace article, there is a rule against using a non-free image in userspace wihout "disabling" it the way the bot did earlier today. Rosario Marin

OriginalHistoryGeek: Re Rosario Marin's ethics violations being blamed on getting "bad legal advice from state attorneys." Lawyers represent their clients; the State hires lawyers to represent the State. State attorneys do not represent people in their individual capacities, nor do they provide advice regarding people's private business interests. Marin's "state attorneys" represented the state agency she worked for, they didn't represent Marin the businesswoman who made speeches through her private corporation. The fact that a state attorney's review of an official's conflict of interest filings does not mean the the attorney has "approved" the information contained in the filing has been confirmed by the Governor's Legal Affairs Secretary. Unfortunately, the CFPPC did not talk to the state attorneys about their role, otherwise, Marin would not have been able to get them to believe her incorrect version of events. The fact is, Marin chose to do speaking engagements through her private corporation and she has no one to blame for her ethics violations but herself. At first glance, I thought that by protecting the page he/she would discuss his/her actions, but when I checked the User further, I realized that the account was solely created to vandalize the RNHA page and that the User had violated the 3-revert rule. Therefore, since you had already posted an invitation to talk about the issues in the User's talk page and the User did not respond, I blocked the User from editing for a period of 1 week.
