Assab[edit]

Ethionet, your contribution to assab is very POV, factually incorrect, and your cites are not reliable. Contributions to Wikipedia are welcome but wikipedia is meant to be "a neutral and unbiased compilation of previously written, verifiable facts" above all else. I suggest you read up on the content criteria of wikipedia and the links given to you by Antonrojo. Mesfin 18:42, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have to agree with Mesfin about this article; for example, the BBC article you linked to contains nothing to support your claim. While it is plausible that the Ethiopian army made an attempt to capture Assab (they did battle Eritrean troops near Bure), until official records are released that explain the rationale for Ethiopian troop movements in this war it is all speculation.

I am particularly concerned about your behavior with this article because you have made some extensive changes to articles about opposition groups within Ethiopia, which put them in an unfavorable light. While my inclination towards edits like these is to give the editor the beenfit of the doubt, if you continue to engage in tendentious editting on the Assab article, I will thoroughly review your edits to these other articles and aggresively remove questionable material that I would normally have left. In short, whether you are aware of it, you are beginning to acquire an unfavorable reputation on Wikipedia, & if I were you I'd change my behavior to fix that. -- llywrch 18:25, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
