November 2007[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia! I am glad to see you are interested in discussing a topic. However, as a general rule, talk pages such as Talk:Odeo are for discussion related to improving the article, not general discussion about the topic. Thank you. NeilN talkcontribs 03:26, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, one or more of the external links you added to the page Odeo do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. There's no need to link to every website Odeo may be involved in. See Yahoo for an example. Neil, Sorry I am still learning. How would you suggest I describe (sans promo) the new areas Odeo is entering into in the Music biz? How about:

The Odeo brand is now be extended into the Music industry. The introduction of new sites such as Odeotunes.com and Odeoguitar.com are new User generated concepts for the industry.

Is that kosher? Thanks Fatmyronuk (talk) 01:59, 30 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I replied on the article talk page. Also, I added some links up top to guidelines that may help you out. --NeilN talkcontribs 03:32, 30 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

December 2007[edit]

While we appreciate that you enjoy using Wikipedia, please note that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and not a social network. Wikipedia is not a place to socialize or do things that are not directly related to improving the encyclopedia, as you did at Talk:Odeo. Off-topic material may be deleted at any time. This message is not meant to discourage you from editing Wikipedia but rather to remind you that the ultimate goal of this website is to build an encyclopedia. Thank you. Please focus on making comments on how to improve the article. NeilN talkcontribs 02:22, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

C'mon Fatmyronuk, you should know better. Some obscure blog is not a reliable source. --NeilN talkcontribs 06:41, 22 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Once again, I find myself having to remind you what is a reliable source. Please carefully consider Wikipedia policy before you make your edits. --NeilN talkcontribs 17:20, 9 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 17:52, 9 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
