Dates in Harry Potter

Dates in Harry Potter - I've recreated the article. I've done some major rewriting, and a lot of sourcing, and I've readded it to the main section because I think it's in good enough condition now to pass muster; however, I haven't reached the bottom yet, which consequently is still in bad shape. Please could you help if you get the chance? Michael Sanders 01:14, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

Horcrux

Hello ! Since you seemed interested in the "theories on hallows" issue in the DH article, I think you might be interested in the fact that our beloved duo, Michaelsanders and Sandpiper, are creating the same troubles in the Horcrux article: this time, they want to use a self-published book containing a collection of theories from various fans involved in fansites like Mugglenet...Folken de Fanel 19:42, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

Blood purity

Just a heads up: Blood purity is up for deletion. Michael Sanders 23:23, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the advice - I've followed it. Please look at it, make any changes you think necessary and - most importantly - keep an eye on it to make sure it isn't deleted without good cause again. Michael Sanders 19:22, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

Special note to spamlist users: Apologies for the formatting issues in previous issues. This only recently became a problem due to a change in HTML Tidy; however, I am to blame on this issue. Sorry, and all messages from this one forward should be fine (I hope!) -Ral315

Hello

I saw your name on the participants list for WikiProject NYC. Would you be open to photo requests? Or no? IvoShandor 15:33, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

Well there is certainly no rush. I am trying to complete articles (some already done) for the properties in the Central Park West Historic District. There is a list at: List of properties (Central Park West Historic District). It's kind of long but they are all along Central Park West or on perpendicular streets at the corners. If possible, photos would be needed for even the red linked articles as I plan to complete those as well. Let me know if this is too much. As I said, absolutely no rush, whenever you happen to be in the city and near Central Park.
A lot of th properties on the list are referred to only by address, but if you find out that those buildings have proper names, like The Langham or The Dakota does then by all means sub them on the list or just let me know. Also if this is too much work let me know and I will see if I can recruit someone else to help. Thanks so much. : ) IvoShandor 12:00, 14 April 2007 (UTC)

Don't forget about Bethany Donaphin in Athletics

Bethany Donaphin '98 played at Stanford. She was all academic PAC-10 in 2002. She also played for the New York Liberty.

Kim Belton '77 also attend HM and played basketball at Stanford University. He earned All-Pac-8 honors, was an Academic All-American and is second in career rebounds and fifth in career scoring at Stanford. He was a second round NBA draft pick of the Pheonix Suns.

Meredith Cullen was the coach when the Girl's Cross Country Team won the last NYSAIS championship.

Thank you for removing that section in the talk page of HPDH

At least somebody agrees with me. I didn't want to push it since it was no biggie but at least I know now that I was correct in my edit. Berserkerz Crit 07:28, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

Re:What's up? (Not much)

Hi Fbv65edel, thanks for your concern, and for contacting me. Call it an unannounced Wikibreak. There's no real reason I can give you for this: I'm not feeling particularly Wikistressed or Wikipissed. I do feel a lack of motivation for contributing to Wikipedia that probably was exacerbated by the whole Essjay fiasco, and by some of the internal politics, but really, my contributions were already decreasing before all these things came about. I guess I just contributed to Wikipedia a lot less to spend more time in real life, then conversely found that I had a lot more time in real life once I contributed to Wikipedia a lot less. I still read Wikipedia articles, but I just find that I no longer have as much motivation to edit Wikipedia as I used to. --Deathphoenix ʕ 14:39, 19 April 2007 (UTC)

Well, that's nice of you to say so, and I felt the same about EvilPhoenix and Hermione1980. Things seem to be improving in the Wikiproject (the usual content disputes aside), especially with several articles becoming good articles (and the featured list too), so I'm sure you guys will continue to do extremely well without us. :-) --Deathphoenix ʕ 15:09, 19 April 2007 (UTC)

shortbus

I was wondering why you removed all those photos from the shortbus page. I'm the director and took a lot of time to put them up. john cameron mitchell

shortbus

All the images that I put on the Shortbus page are promotional film stills (from my film) - those that you removed and those that remain. All are available on our film site. I put them under fair use as screenshots mostly. what more do i need to write to keep them up? john cameron mitchell

Dates in Harry Potter Articles

Hi. Thanks for the link to the Black Family tree but to be honest I don't reallyo ffer a lot of credance to that picture as a source. I'm not saying you're wrong but in both the pictures that that page links to the date you rely on for Draco's birth is either not in or illegible to the point that is is most definitely not reliable. Don't quote me on this but on a large number of pages I've viewed, fansites don't get the verifyability needed for cites so the family tree the website itself came up with wouldn't work for the same reasons as above. If you've got a link to somewhere where Rowling is quoted as having set daes then be my guest and cite them adding the DoB in but I don't think that the family tree counts as a cite for now mainly because it cant be verified 100%. Athletic Accomplishments

We need to fix the section under the chart of teams on the Horace Mann School page. It's becoming a randomn list of randomn facts that are really too much. I was thinking about putting it in the chart with the most recent championship and then list some of the better teams underneath. Your thoughts? Wikster72 02:38, 25 April 2007 (UTC)

Does anyone know what the Wikimania 2007 is because there is an ad for it on my computer every time I log in on wiki. Reply on my discussion page.Thanks.HarryFanatic102 01:04, 26 April 2007 (UTC)HarryFanatic102

CPW - new thread

I started here because I thought the other one was stale. Don't worry about timeframe at all, no deadlines here! Did you take a look at the list? What do you think, is that too much? They are all right in the same area, really, you might have to walk kinda far, not really though, not too mention you get to see some really interesting buildings. Nothing on hold here. The article's I am working on in that area have still been being duly expanded, I think a bit more expansion on Central Park West Historic District and it'll be ready for Good article candidates, The Century (building) is almost there. With your photos, one day List of properties (Central Park West Historic District) could feasibly be a Featured List. But none of this is rushed by any means ; ). I really appreciate your help with this, and when you do get to go do this, as unamazing as it may seem to you, know that there is a Wikipedian near Chicago who wishes he was in your shoes.
