Your recent edits[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 14:23, 27 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Raymond Shine requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. • Your article stated nothing that indicates any kind of importance--that a certain person is a musician who has refused to release any recordings is not a credible claim for notability by our standards. Please see Wikipedia:Notability (music). Also, yelling at editors on their user pages is not helpful: first of all, that's what talk pages are for; second, a less combative attitude is always more likely to get results. Thank you, Drmies (talk) 18:38, 27 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Not yelling. May have used one exclamation mark. Anger is natural, especially when being told i am unimportant and do not exist. Its like a sci-fi horror. As i expected, you have responded in a police-like manner, and only registered the anger without responding to any of my more salient points. Fictus factus (talk) 18:46, 27 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • That's not to the point. Sorry, but you'll just have to accept that Wikipedia has rules and guidelines, and if an article gets deleted that doesn't mean that the subject was unimportant (outside of Wikipedia) or doesn't exist. I'm not sure what your salient points were, except for the fact that you're angry. Anger may be natural, but that doesn't mean one has to spread that in inappropriate places--that's playing the victim. You are free to blank your talk page, of course. The deletion thing does not say you are unimportant. It says that the article did not show that you were important. There's a difference. It's the article that's being deleted, not you. Look at WP:BAND and WP:BIO - it's usually BAND for any musicians even if they always play solo or if they rap - if you can get through either of those as a pass, then look at WP:RS which is about the reliable independent sources needed to prove it. Then read WP:COI if you are the subject or are closely connected to the subject. Then contact one of us (at the bottom of our talkpage) and we'll advise you on the state of play. Not all people (or bands) get articles (but it seems like every schoolboy group and every rapper tries...). Some, like Bragod, are not in the charting/popular line, but can still have notability. (They didn't write that article, and no, I'm not one of them even though I do have a lyre and can play it.) I only found that you'd been to my userpage by accident - I looked at my watchlist (which I do on occasion). Talkpages flash up a yellow banner so we know there's a message. BTW the barnstars are a Wikipedia thing that people give out when they think someone's done something great, or have worked on something very hard, or when the giver is just feeling that way out. There are also cookies, pints, kittens and other weird and wonderful things given out (in virtual form, of course). On the whole, the regulars here are a friendly bunch (Drmies in particular). We do have to put up with a right load of rubbish at times - not your article, that just failed to show what it should have shown - with people thinking they can put hoaxes, attack pages, adverts and propaganda of all sorts on Wikipedia. We also get things like 'Shawn is the most awesommmeeesssttttttt!!!!!!!!!!'. (Quite obviously, he isn't - I am...) Peridon (talk) 00:10, 28 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
