Request reason:

I have been blocked for failing to properly declare paid contributions for company information article Equity Trustees. This was an error on my part in not understanding the proper process to declare. I was paid as a freelancer, by Artisan Australia. I am not a direct employee of Equity Trustees. The contributions were not controversial contributions, information only. I believe that the company article is in good faith and is not advertising per se. My purpose also in Wikipdedia is to contribute positively to the community in a variety of interests all unpaid. This instance was a one-off and uncommon instance. I will resolve in all ways that I can the declaration on my account. Please unblock and return the page to published if possible. I will add the necessary declarations to my account when returned (i.e. connected contributor (paid) code) and follow any other necessary protocol Freelance1970 (talk) 00:47, 2 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You created the account, did nothing for some time, then made ten trivial edits to get autoconfirmed and immediately proceeded to create a live article that provides the company's view of itself and its business. Yes, that's an advertisemet per se. I find it hard to assume good faith when you deliberately avoided the WP:AFC review process and showed nothing of the supposed purpose to "contribute positively to the community in a variety of interests all unpaid". Request reason:

May I request again - and clarify - I am new to this system, I read the instructions on COI and as I am not a paid employee of this company felt I may be within guidelines. I did not "deliberately avoid" anything, I misunderstood the system and made a mistake. Since discovering the block I have read further and realised I have not followed protocol. And that there may have been a better way to submit the article rather than making it live. So I am now acting in sincere good faith to attempt to resolve my error, and to learn. There is nothing in the article that is hyperbolic or subjective; it is pure information. I have no personal agenda, my interests are broad beyond this. I am as I say, new to Wikipedia so I need time and opportunity to learn. I would appreciate the opportunity to prove such rather than be blocked perpetually for a rookie mistake. Thank you.

Decline reason:

The block does not prevent you from reading about policies, learning what is acceptable, and how to do things. I'm unconvinced that unblocking you would benefit the encyclopedia at this time as I don't think you understand that what you did is considered promotional. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 07:32, 2 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
