Re: Your vandalism to User:Vox Humana 8'[edit]

Hi Gary - I am disgusted that a vandal such as you (ref. [1]) is still prepared to get all self-righteous over cases like mine a few months back. Get off Wikipedia, we need fewer people like you. --Vox Humana 8' 13:40, 18 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Replied on your talk page - please assume good faith and don't make personal attacks. Thanks. Gary Kirk [Talk] 12:26, 19 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I have also replied there. --Vox Humana 8' 17:29, 20 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Gary, I have tried to assume good faith here. However, your recent vandalism (refs [2], [3], [4], [5], [6], [7], [8] plus changing my userpage image from a photo taken by my dad to this) to pages in which I have been involved has greatly reduced my trust in you. I shall appeal to have you blocked for a few weeks - hopefully, that will be enough to teach you a lesson about making personal attacks.--Vox Humana 8' 22:14, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
My account was not hacked; but those edits were not made by me. I was not logged off from a workstation and some people were mischevious. When the cat's away.... They have been punished. Please don't wikilawyer me either. Gary Kirk [Talk] 18:53, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
OK. I would dare to suggest that you log off workstations every time you leave them. Oh, also, I'd never heard of wikilawyering before, but, having read the article, I would dispute the suggestion that I was wikilawyering. - Vox Humana 8' 22:55, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Special note to spamlist users: Apologies for the formatting issues in previous issues. This only recently became a problem due to a change in HTML Tidy; however, I am to blame on this issue. Sorry, and all messages from this one forward should be fine (I hope!) -Ral315

Re: Emails[edit]

It's just as a matter of courtesy - I don't expect an immediate response from them (in fact, the quickness of Riana's reply surprised me). Kyoko's complaint was to the nature of the email, I think (for which I apologised, a lot). Will (I hope they cannot see, I AM THE GREAT DESTROYER!) 13:29, 10 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Check it out: Wikipedia:Birthday Committee/Calendar/April/2007. I don't want to mess around a lot, because I don't know how the Birthday Committee has this stuff set up. But I just fixed the April calendar for 2007. Cheers, Fang Aili talk 13:59, 10 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

db-g10 tag on Cliff Muntu article?[edit]

Hi Gary, I don't understand why you put the db-g10 tag into the article Cliff Muntu. The death of Cliff Muntu is currently a high profile media coverage in Indonesia. It is currently in the news and the case is being developed as a result of Muntu's death, and slowly more information is going to be added to this article. Please read the writing properly before you put the tag, this is not a biography of living person (Muntu is already dead because he's killed by the seniors), and in no way it disparages the late Cliff Muntu. In fact, this article is trying to raise awareness of the death of Cliff Muntu. I really regret that you did not properly read the writing prior to putting the tag.Chaerani 09:03, 11 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I notice that the person is changing the speedy deletion tag to Notability criteria. Of course the Cliff Muntu murder case is not a high profile case in US or other english speaking country, but it is a high profile case in Indonesia. If you search google for Cliff Muntu or IPDN in Google, you will come up with many pages in Indonesian news that involves even the President of Indonesia commenting on this case. Therefore, I think the content of the article itself deserves to be considered as notable. However, if it's more appropriate to rename the article to, for example, Students Death in IPDN, go ahead and move the page, and redirect Cliff Muntu to that page. For now, I put it under the page name Cliff Muntu because the current news coverage in Indonesia on the death of students in IPDN revolves around his death in particular, as this one is the most recent and incited high level response from high level government official. I just hope that the Notability criteria is not just governed using US standard of news, because there is more to the world than just US media. Please do participate in the discussion in the talk page in order to come into consensus about the importance of this article. Chaerani 09:16, 11 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Replied on your talk page. Gary Kirk [Talk] 09:37, 11 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hi gary thanks for your response. Sorry for saying "US POV" what i meant is english speaking countries POV. Chaerani 10:01, 11 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
