Your last comment on the X-Men talk page, commenting that you're gonna revert whatever Claremont may write about it, serves mostly to demonstrate that you don't know who Claremont is and that you therefore shouldn't even be getting involved in the dispute until you read up, more than a little. Use of {subarticleof} tag[edit]

I decided to put the tag in on all of the pages where I reverted your original reversion. As I have changed my mind about the use of the tag, I do not see a problem with altering my own edits to those articles to remove the use of the tag in advance of any decision to remove the tag generally. Even if you put it there, and removed it because you no longer support it, some people do. Removing it will remove any chance people have of seeing the notice. I would suggest you put it back, or I will. Havok 5 July 2005 12:10 (UTC)

If you, personally, think that it is suitable in its current form, on that page, then you should re-add it. I will not, because I do not think it is the right thing to do, but if you revert it I will leave that alone until the issue is resolved, or until a week has passed, whichever is sooner. But please, ask yourself whether you're just putting the template back in place because you want to get people to come and look at the issue. I don't think that's a good reason to do so. Plenty of people visit that page already for other reasons.

Imagine the template was not on vote for deletions. Is Object Desktop really the main article of WindowBlinds, when it has always been offered separately, and when the WindowBlinds article stands on its own? The reason I put it there in the first place was to balance the link to it from Object Desktop (as the templates were suggested as a pair), but I do not think that was the right decision.

Looking at it, which form do you think the pages that I have changed are better in - with the bold links that show links to several articles, or the link at the top that points people to another page first. Which one reads better to you? More importantly, would you add the {subarticleof} tag if it were not there? I think if you would not add it then, you should not re-add it now.

This is how I think the issue should be decided. If individual contributors believe that it is better to use the bold text, then they will use the bold text. I do not think that forcing everything to freeze until an argument is resolved is the right answer. I do not personally care overmuch whether or not the template is deleted; I just think that there is a better way to show association for these particular articles. Do you think that it is better to use the template? If so, re-add. If not, please do not. GreenReaper 5 July 2005 12:48 (UTC)

Because I didn't write it. Someone removed the part called "Other world leaders" so I was looking for it in History, I found it and forgot to read all the quotes, so that one slipped in. I removed it when I saw it. If you do not believe me, check history and you can see that I did not write it. It was a glip on my part and I am truly sorry. Important VFD[edit]

Please see the VFD for commons:List of victims of the 1913 Great Lakes storm. This is of vital importance. This list and others like it are being pushed off of the entire Wikimedia project. It started at Wikipedia, where they were VFDd in favor of moving to Wikisource/Commons. Now they are being VFDd off Wikisource (they don't really belong there, since they are not original source texts), with people there saying they should be on WP/Commons, and it is also being VFDd on Commons, where people don't realize that Commons accepts texts (says so right on the Main Page). Your Additions to Maxis page[edit]

I am unconfortable with your comments on The Sims 3 - Maxis has said little to nothing about this game. It probably will feature a new game engine (it is pretty obvious but note Maxis has not said this and most people talking about The Sims 3 on message boards talk about the possibilities of weather and pets rather than a new game engine - so it cannot even be claimed this is commonly expected by fans - but I'm being slightly pedantic here). As for "Maxis will also be working on making the virtual world of The Sims seamless and utilize complete freedom of neighborhood and house construction." these speculative comments I feel are unjustified. I'd like to see "complete freedom of ... construction" but this has never been stated as part of any new game by Maxis and may not arrive in the next version(note many wanted a free camera in Simcity 4 and may have speculated this might come but this was not delivered). As for making the world of The Sims "seamless", again not promised or even suggested by Maxis to my knowledge, this is a area with major problems that may make it undesirable: Imagine a hundred house neighbourhood with all sims moving by A.I while user controls one house or moves between them (not really possible in terms of performance but this game setup could involve a scaling down of current neighbourhoods as the current version allows quite a few houses). Many players would not want to have A.I controlling the rest of their game as they played with some sims. Such problems would be why Maxis, who are planning The Sims 3(they said they start new game development the day after a game is released at least in the cases of The Sims), have not promised or even speculated on The Sims 3. Sorry if I have sounded confrontational (this was not the aim) but I would not wish to remove these comments without first talking to you. X-Men 3 move[edit]

Next time that happens please visit Wikipedia:Requested moves to get an Administrator to move it for you. That way the edit history will be moved with the article content. Category:Inclusionist[edit]

Hi Havok!

The bug of not finding yourself in the category was probably caused by adding the category to your userpage before creating the category. I removed the inclusionist template, and immediately readded it. That seemed to fix it. By the way, if you want the category name to appear as a link, instead of putting the page into the category, you should write

[[:Category:Inclusionist]]

rather than

[[Category:Inclusionist]].

The problem is that if I start I would erase the entire "general information" section of the external links because they are all pertaining to a local group or advertising for a certain function like fora or radio, etc... There are some pretty big site on the list but it is still just advertising to me. Completely unencyclopedic. The same with the "popular" music list. It is completely subjective. There is not even one cited source. It is like the page is run by a bunch of crazed fans that don't have a clue that this is an encyclopedia. Warcraft images[edit]

Felt like writing it here, seeing as I'll most likely will be get a PM about "source" for the Warcraft images I have uploaded.

I made the pictures using WOWmodelview[4]. What it does is allow you to look at, and interact with, differnt objects/models in WoW. I used Photoshop to compres and save the images and in turn uploaded them to WP. Havok (T/C) 21:35, 27 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

IGN's calculator makes the talent mouseover popups appear at the bottom of or "below" my screen. Blizzard's calculator often exhibits a bug where a talent mouseover popup will not "unpop" when it is no longer being moused over, eventually preventing most of the screen underneath from being visible.

Your calculator is fantastic. It works better than the one on IGN or even the one here on Blizzard's own site. I use a Mac and the Safari browser and was simply amazed that your code interacted with my browser perfectly.

The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use.
