sound art[edit]

hi, i agree the most recent overhaul was a muck-up, but a lot of the points were broadening the definition. it seems like you feel that sound art is the broadest category for any art experience that involves sound. this is not supported by the literature. both alan licht and brandon labelle's book support the idea that sound art, as it is understood today comes out of more contemporary influences, many of them from music. there is no reason to downplay this. is there?
