Howdy there...[edit]

Good to see you on Wiki. :-) I'm not sure what the policy is (if there is, in fact, a policy) on linking to an author's wiki-username in an article about there work, just FYI. - Aerobird Target locked - Fox One!

I’m not sure about policy, but linking from article space (the encyclopaedia itself) to user space (used for organisation, maintenance and communication) seems a bad idea. Howard Tayler exists and is a redirect to Schlock Mercenary, so I’ve added a box to Talk:Schlock Mercenary pointing here. —xyzzyn 01:19, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. I do like people knowing who I am wherever I go, but using my real name here probably suffices. If they want to find me, they can find me.--HowardTayler 23:22, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • I'll point out that a webcomic successful enough that it allows the creator to quit his day job and draw comics full-time is de facto notable; therefore, you have nothing to worry about re: the Schlock article being deleted. And yes, I'm the one who restored Evil Inc. DS 05:53, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well, thanks for taking care of Evil Inc. I'm not worried about the Schlock entry, either, but that's because it doesn't generate any revenue or traffic for me, and I don't need the vanity coverage. The fact that a Google Search on my name, or the words "Schlock Mercenary" will return my stuff for the first ten pages or so means I've got all the vanity coverage I really need. :-)--HowardTayler 23:22, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Schlock Mercenary domain problems?[edit]

As of now I can't connect to http://www.schlockmercenary.com/ Will this day turn into the day you would have lost the Daily Grind http://www.crowncommission.com/dailygrind/ if you'd joined it?

Aaand, it's back. Less than 24 hours.
