Infraorder Anthobranchia

Hi Invertzoo. I wonder if I may ask you a taxonomic related question? In theTaxonomy section of the nudibranch article, it mentions that the animals are divided into 2 infraorders, Cladobranchia andAnthobranchia. There isn't an article for Anthobranchia, so I was going to go ahead and create one but I noticed that this infraorder is not referenced byBouchet & Rocroi 2005. Which is the most upto date source? Does this infraorder still exist? I am not so familiar with the higher taxonomic levels. I hope you are doing well, I have started to get back into nudibranchs again after a while off editing ships!Antarctic-adventurer(talk) 11:32, 9 July 2011 (UTC)

Hi Antarctic-adventurer, Clades are definitely the way that taxonomy will be in the future, not rigid ranks such as orders. The taxonomy of Bouchet and Rocroi 2005 uses only clades between the level of class and superfamily, so there are no such things as orders or suborders or infraorders any more. Here on Wikipedia in Project Gastropods we are following Bouchet & Rocroi 2005 with subsequent updates as they become published and then listed in Changes in the taxonomy of gastropods since 2005. User:Snek01 is I think primarily the person who has been adding the B&R taxonomy to articles. For simplicity's sake, he has been adding the latest taxonomy at the END of each taxonomy section. I believe it is better to reverse that, so that the most up to date taxonomy is shown at the BEGINNING of the taxonomy section and then followed by the second recent, and so on back as far as people want to go. But that involves rewriting the prose somewhat to make it clear which taxonomy systems are now in the past. I tweaked the section myself a bit just now, but did not reverse the sequence because I need to go out now. Would you perhaps like to do that? Best wishes, Invertzoo (talk) 13:06, 9 July 2011 (UTC)

Hi Zoo,

Hope you and your family are well.

I had a dream of Wikipedia, and in the dream, I was fined $30,000 and was banned from writing any more articles. Because of this: Sinfonia Concertante for Oboe, Clarinet, Horn, Bassoon and Orchestra K. 297b. The "dream Wiki" said that I can only write on biology.

In fact, I know more of Mozart than I do of just about anything else. And I couldn't believe there was a space on Wikipedia to write on this subject.

So far, there are 584 Wikipedia articles attributed to me, and around 20 others that are not. There is no evidence to stop this from increasing in the near future.

It's a dream to be able to take photos, put them on Wikipedia and write about such beautiful, fascinating and wonderful stuff. The biology here in Australia is amazing.
