Hello, I've done some work on making your addition to Samuel Roth more Wiki-friendly. Please look at some other Biographies to get a better idea of tone and formatting. If you need some help, let me know here. All the best, and thank you for your contribution. - RoyBoy 800 03:15, 25 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome!

Hello, Jgertzma, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{helpme}} before the question. Again, welcome!

The above is the standard welcome message, with links to relevant policy and tutorials. The notice should come down when it meets our Manual of Style. If it gets taken down prematurely someone might come in and erase it all thinking it was just an indiscriminate "text dump". This already occurred and I put your text back realizing it was very relevant to the subject; but the prose is less succinct than what was there previously. Nothing wrong with that persay, but that is something to discuss later on when the basics get covered. - RoyBoy 800 05:31, 25 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Correct, it needs to be uploaded before you link to it. Here is the upload page. - RoyBoy 800 02:04, 26 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Here is an example of code you can use. Replace Europa with your uploaded image, and add a caption. - RoyBoy 800 02:08, 26 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Rothkefvflyer.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 04:50, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Rothkefvflyer.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Rothkefvflyer.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 20:37, 6 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to David Goodis may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it.
