Hi McSLy, appreciate the moderation, they are not for promotional use I understand the Wiki policies and also the relationship in how the articles don't work towards website SEO. The links are intended only for additional context that readers may be interested in. Jones28A (talk) 13:45, 26 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hello @Jones28A:, first, for information, there are no moderators on WP. All editors have the same rights. They are expected to follow the WP policies though. Concerning your changes, the website you linked is a "Lean Six Sigma Business Consultancy" It is self evidently a commercial site with the main purpose of selling trainings. So, again, obviously can not be used on WP. I'm also not completely clear when you say "[the site provides] additional context that readers". I looked at the site and the info there is pretty generic and high level. Anyway, so please review the WP policies on reliable sources and spam policies if you are interested in contributing to WP further. --McSly (talk) 15:09, 26 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I appreciate your sentiments that you are trying to get across, but the citation links to an informational page that provides details on Lean Six Sigma through the years with particular insight into the effect on UK manufacturing and the development of certified belts. There is no mention of selling training or any other services in the actual article, therefore doesn't violate the guidance as it doesn't link directly to an e-commerce page. As would be the with most other sources used in the Wiki article, as the authors of said other sources are all trying to sell their own literary work either directly or indirectly. Which is noted in the guidance that you sent across. Having said all of that I would feel much more at ease if instead of blanketly removing the changes and citations that I have introduced, you instead build upon them and adapt them if needs be to find more applicable sources, if there are more suitable ones available. Hi Viewmont Viking, thanks for moderating the content, but other than the clarification I have added to the articles on my subject matter I have just provided external sources with additional information should the reader want additional context. Not for promotional gain. Have you reviewed the sources? Jones28A (talk) 13:41, 26 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
