Your article[edit]

Sorry to have been so speedy with the deletion, but I didn't notice the timing until afterwards. However, it looks to be far too soon for an article. Unless, of course, you can produce evidence of fairly widespread coverage in reliable independent sources WP:RS to show that it passes WP:WEB. While there are undoubtedly some exceptions, fan fictions don't tend to get the coverage that's needed. You did a good job of being neutral, IMO, and if you can find better references that show the required notability I'll be happy to restore it into your user space for further work. We've been cross-editing, so here's what I was going to put as an answer to your post on my talk page. "Please sign talk page messages with ~~~~ to put your sig on. Thanks. I've already left a message at your talk page which crossed with your unblocking - get the request in at CHU if you haven't done so yet. Significant is only used in connection with speedy deletion. The aim should be notability, and I've linked the relevant policies there. It is a sort of 'might be' or 'wannabe' that only prevents speedy deletion. To invent an example, a new online comic from DC would have significance because DC is very notable already. However, it mightn't have notability because the first issue was today, or because it turns out to be their Edsel (i.e. virtually no-one buys into it...). A very recent fan fiction doesn't to me have any great significance, and I couldn't see anything that passed notability either/ Referencing from your own site can't show notability. In respect of the other comics, please see WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS." To reply to a post, type : at the start of your post (and if you have more than one paragraph, put one on each). Great, thank you for the information. Sounds good, and understandable. Do you have any idea why the Everclear drummer page, for example, might not have been considered notable? Why does every other member get a page but not him? He was with the band a while. This is just an example of something I'm still confused on, I guess. Thanks for your help. Saw your post and would like to help answer your question about the Everclear drummer page but will need a little more information. Are you asking about one of the drummers for Everclear (band)? If so which one?

Jordon Plosky – drums, percussion (2009–2010)
Tommy Stewart – drums, percussion (2008–2009)
Brett Snyder – drums, percussion (2004–2008)
Eric Bretl – drums, percussion (2003–2004)
Greg Eklund – drums, percussion, backing vocals (1994–2003)
Scott Cuthbert – drums, percussion, backing vocals (1992–1994)

Three of them do have an article, four don't. I looked quickly and didn't see any deleted article for any of the four that don't have an article. This could be that no one has ever decided to start an article on the one your asking about, not that he isn't notable.

Scott Cuthbert. I made an article for him in 2007 or so (under an old username, not this one). It was promptly deleted. I found the article you are talking about, Scott Cuthbert (drummer). The article was deleted as the result of a deletion discussion, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Scott Cuthbert (drummer). I have looked at the article, it does not have any sources at all and there wasn't anything that established him as a notable person. Most of the article was about his activities as a high school band director. If you would like, I can restore the article as a draft so that you can work on it if you believe he meets our notability guidelines. Before it could be made an article again, reliable sources would have to be added to the article that discuss him and provide significant coverage. -- GB fan 16:19, 13 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It would be in the Draft namespace. It would be available to anyone who knows where to look but would not be real easy to search for as the area is not crawled by google.
