Predictions[edit]

They're meant to be the date of the last update for that particular contest, not the date of the last overall update. I can't revert them all at this point, but I just thought I'd let you know. Mélencron (talk) 13:14, 11 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I don't fully understand what you mean by particular contest?Jullan3 (talk) 13:18, 11 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Shift Key not working on GoogleTrans gadget[edit]

Hi Jullan3,

Tbanks for your message about the GoogleTrans gadget. I have checked the gadget on both my Chrome and Firefox browsers, and it is properly functioning, with the SHIFT key working. I have also checked my Google usage counts and they are fine too. So this probably means that most people are getting the gadget to use okay.

Which browser are you using, and which version? I know, for instance, that gadgets on Wikipedia no longer load on IE9, and if you are using an old browser, all the gadgets might not be loading at all.

Also, have you used the GoogleTrans gadget before? You have to

1) point the cursor directly over a word in the webpage 2) then you press the SHIFT key down for 1 second.

At this point you should get a popup.

Sincerely,

Endo999 (talk) 14:09, 3 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

It's also possible that one of your actual SHIFT keys is no longer working on your keyboard. You should try the other SHIFT key when using GoogleTrans to see if that is the case. Endo999 (talk) 14:10, 3 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Are you using Edge browser for some reason?

Endo999 (talk) 14:18, 3 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Iam using Google Chrome, Version 67.0.3396.62. And the Google Trans worked fine yesterday but i don't know what happened. I have tried to use both of my shift keys but still nothing. Jullan3 (talk) 18:35, 3 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I seem to be on Chrome v66, so I hope it is not a version problem. You should go into the menu on the right side of the Chrome browser, go to MORETOOLS then DEVELOPERTOOLS then click on the console tab. Try the SHIFT key then and then see if there is an error message. This will be helpful to know.

It is also possible that another GADGET or wiki script has disabled the SHIFT key. Did you enable another gadget or script yesterday? Also, my gadget hasn't changed since April 1st 2018, but maybe some other gadget you are using changed yesterday. If you have another gadget running, you can disable that for an hour or so and try to see if GoogleTrans starts working.

You can also ensure that your SHIFT keys are working for regular word processing activities.

Does the gadget work on Firefox, IE10+, or Edge?

Please check out this post on a chrome forum, which mentions a bad shift key in chrome (from May 15 2018) Is this similar to what you have?

The Google Trans works in Firefox but not in Google Chrome, thank you so much for the help.Jullan3 (talk) 12:14, 4 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I'm running Chrome Version 67.0.3396.62 (Official Build) (32-bit) right now. That's the same version you have, but my GoogleTrans gadget is working okay. Endo999 (talk) 16:16, 4 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Partial revert on Cole Sprouse[edit]

I've reverted your rowspan addition, as it's not recommended for columns other than year (if desired) in WP:FILMOGRAPHY. One reason for this may have to do with accessibility concerns (some screen readers and text-based browers, though mostly older ones (many modern ones handle it fine), may not repeat the rowspan correctly for subsequent rows, which could affect user experience, and it can also be visually confusing for some users, particularly late in the table). I've copyedited your readdition of the executive producer credit on the SL movie and left that part of the edit in, though! - Purplewowies (talk) 22:05, 7 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
