Hi @Randykitty,
I have proposed two updates via the request template, see- Talk:Faculty of 1000 - Wikipedia
Can these proposed changes be edited directly by me? I have add a 'disclose COI' on my user page and removed the copy that was deemed promotional.
Looking forward to hearing from you. Thank you.
Regards,
Larry Larry.leung.f1000 (talk) 11:15, 9 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • I have reverted those edits several times, so let another editor have a look at that. You shouldn't make those edits yourself, that what an "edit request" template is for. --Randykitty (talk) 11:38, 9 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. I will make use of the 'edit request' template for other proposed edits then.
Is it a rough idea how long the changes will be reflected? or if it's got rejected? Thanks! Larry.leung.f1000 (talk) 12:03, 9 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
In general, the less work that is required to implement your proposed edit, and the more compatible your proposed edit is with Wikipedia policies and guidelines, and the clearer that your proposed edit is, the more likely it is that someone (an unpaid Wikipedia volunteer) will be motivated to implement your edit. Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Randykitty (talk) 16:33, 31 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Disclose COI[edit]

Please remember to sign your comments[edit]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. -- 65.92.246.142 (talk) 04:31, 20 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
