Welcome[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia, the greatest encyclopedia on Earth! You seem to be off to a good start. Hopefully you will soon join the vast army of Wikipediholics! You may wish to review the welcome page, tutorial, and stylebook, as well as the avoiding common mistakes and Wikipedia is not pages. You may also want to check out Wikipedia:Merge, for information about merging, renaming and moving pages. The Wikipedia directory is also quite useful. In addition, you might want to add yourself to the new user log; if you made any edits before getting an account, you may wish to assign those to your username.

By the way, an important tip: To sign comments on talk pages, simply type four tildes, like this: ~~~~. This will automatically add your name and the time after your comments.

Finally, here are some open tasks:

You can help improve the articles listed below! This list updates frequently, so check back here for more tasks to try. (See Wikipedia:Maintenance or the Task Center for further information.)

Other pages, same name![edit]

People tend to use parentheses to indicate the profession/subject area if more than one person/name is involved. If one name has many possible famous meanings, people create a disabiguation page. For an example, see Deep Throat and Deep Throat (Watergate) and Deep Throat (The X-Files). Sasquatch′TalkContributions 19:16, July 11, 2005 (UTC)

Your welcome note and Vfd[edit]

Hi, your welcome, for the "welcome note", I enjoy greeting new users, as it makes most feel welcome, and I provide a good list of links and topics, to try to make it easier to navigate Wikipedia.

As for the VFD (Votes for Deletion) on your article. I am sorry that I have to agree with the its deletion, at this time. I made a note, on my vote, explaining the reasoning.

Copy of comment from Vfd:

I reviewed all the info I could find on the subject, unfortunately, it's mostly self-promotion, that I found on the web, links on shopping sites pointing to their "unused" website. If at some time in the future, these guys become syndicated, then it may warrant an article. There is not enough information or content to support an article for a public broadcast channel show. As for the socketpuppets, I kind of feel bad, new user, getting their first article Vfd'd, and asking friends to help. Hard way to learn, but hopefully with more time on Wiki, will learn the rules and develop some good research and editing skills. I remain at delete.

I hope that explains mine, and others standpoint on the issue. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, as I would be glad to help. <>Who?¿? 20:30, 11 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]
