CASL[edit]

Separate from the main article, would it be acceptable to generate an article which lists known CASL firms and link to it? (ie. Private equity are to Private equity firms) --Conrad Kilroy 06:46, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I decided to construct a Catetory group to Listing for CASL. It will be my first time making one. --Conrad Kilroy (talk) 22:36, 24 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Avolar Edits[edit]

I recently joined so I'm not quite up to speed on certain editing protocol or etiquette. But, just as I was going to edit some content to the Avolar article I noticed certain edits, deletes, reverts and so on. I followed up on your Reference in relation to some content which was deleted (and reverted due to supposed vandalism) and it is safe to say grounds to it's deletion were valid.

Upon further reading:

The paragraph "Though unconfirmed in print..." has no source reference to verify it's validity, so deleting it conforms with article cleanup.
-"Our verifiability policy (V) demands that information and notable views presented in articles be drawn from appropriate, reliable sources." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WP:NOR

Furthermore, there are various issues with the following paragraph in the article, "In the late hours of November 2nd 2007, the airline's website was taken fully offline...", as it is out of context in relation to the article, it's speculative and the given citations are not from valid sources (they are from forums to which the majority of the claims are made by the same person which even there are refuted for being speculative). Even with editing to ensure it is unbiased, it's content is more like a news report.
-"Wikipedia is not a collection of unverifiable speculation" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WP:NOT#CRYSTALBALL
-"Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WP:NOT#INFO
-"...self-published books, personal websites, and blogs are largely not acceptable as sources." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WP:SPS
-"Timely news subjects not suitable for Wikipedia may be suitable for Wikinews." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WP:NOT#NEWS

As is suggested by Wikipedia concerning news reports, your comments about the site downtime could be posted there.

--It's pretty dissapointing to see what appears to be continued proaganda edits, especially pertaining to Mexican airlines. Printed media pertaining to real-world conditions in Mexico is sparse, yet any potentially-negative information posted to these carriers Wikipedia entry is rapidly "cleansed" and edited. Perhaps the better alternative would be adding a "citiation needed" link, rather than simply removing it. Your comments regarding the condition of the airline and/or the irrifutable evidence pertaining to the airline's web gateway being taken offline in place of a Radixx gateway (see archive.org). I severly disagree that the better alternative to your edits is simply deleting text which you do not agree with, but I am a reasonable person. Please advise.
