The article Flag Wars has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki (talk) 21:01, 20 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Flag Wars[edit]

I have nominated Flag Wars, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Flag Wars. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Re Flag Wars[edit]

I didn't request your page be speedy deleted. I opened a AfD discussion (unlike speedy deletion which is pretty quick AfD nominations are usually five days to build a consensus and then action is taken based on that consensus) because I felt Flag Wars did not make a valid assertion of notability or contain reliable sources. Reply[edit]

It doesn't matter whether the article is about a subject you are involved in or not, if it doesn't meet the notability requirements it will be deleted. Mr Senseless (talk) 22:05, 20 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Explain More[edit]

Thanks for replying, but I'm still a tad confused on what criteria I didn't meet. It would be wonderful if you could tell me the main criteria I didn't meet. Then I can edit the page to make sure everything meets the criteria =) -
PS: Thanks for all these reply. Most administrator's never reply to me and leave me left in the dirt. =P

It doesn't meet the requirements in WP:WEB. This isn't anything you or the author has done wrong, the subject itself just isn't notable yet, it might be in the future if its mentioned in multiple independent sources see WP:SOURCES. BTW, I'm not an administrator, just a new pages patroller. Hope this helps :) Mr Senseless (talk) 23:33, 20 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Source and Web Argument[edit]

Flag Wars has no specific sources since it is the first article created on WikiPedia and was never posted on any other website or WikiPedia article.

Typically it needs to be referred to somewhere else (usually in multiple cases) before it can be posted on Wikipedia. See WP:SOURCES and WP:RS. Mr Senseless (talk) 07:43, 22 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
