Image:Neowin main page screenshot122605.png[edit]

Hello, and thank you for contributing to Wikipedia! I noticed you uploaded Image:Neowin main page screenshot122605.png, presumably for the Neowin article. But your screenshot isn't currently used in that article, or any others. Due to the nature of fair use, when a copyrighted image that is uploaded to Wikipedia under a claim of fair use is no longer used in any articles, it must be tagged as such, which makes it eligible to be deleted in seven days.

So I tagged your upload, and said it had been replaced by Image:Neowin5 v10j-lock-blue-preview.png, which is the image that's currently used in the Neowin article. But then I noticed that the "replacement" image is actually older than the image you uploaded. So I thought I'd let you know what I have done, in case you are planning to do something with your image. If you have any questions or remarks, please let me know by posting a message on my talk page. —Bkell 05:59, 3 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Neowin[edit]

User:Hinotori continues to revert the article and defacing the the good community work. He is engaged with User:Doom127 in Wikistalking after happened everything in Talk:Ken Kutaragi, they thinks that I am "Brazil4Linux". --Microsoft Fanboy 23:10, 5 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You know, considering the fact that the version that Hinotori is trying to protect IS the group consensus version (and, incidentally, the one that noneloud spent a really long time working on), I'm trying to figure out just who you think you're fooling here, "Microsoft Fanboy"...
This is the group consensus version- the one that Hinotori is protecting. -> [[1]]
Which also happens to be the one that Noneloud spent so much time perfecting. -> [[2]]
Of course, Noneloud already knew this a long time ago...

B4L[edit]

You do realize that it was Brazil4Linux who snuck in that edit? I hardly even noticed when he did it, as I was away on buisness that day. Don't abandon the article based on one stupid person. Daniel Davis 15:49, 24 January 2006 (UTC) (Doom127)[reply]

Your contributions were not in vain[edit]

I just thought you should know that it's safe to return to the wonderful work that you were doing with Neowin. The admin Woohookitty put a semi-protection lock onto the page (to prevent anon IPs from vandalizing it), and when B4L tried to use his Dungeon Siege sockpuppet to keep reverting, BorgHunter put an indefinite block on his account. Which means you can return to editing the page without worrying about it being vandalized again. Your hard work IS appreciated, and I for one am glad you're here on Wikipedia. NeoWin[edit]

Go ahead and make whatever edits you feel are needed to the page. That deletion thing was Brazil4Linux (using sockpuppet Rick Browser), trying to get it deleted since he couldn't get his way. You'll note that *every* vote was to keep (and speedy keep, as well). Don't pay any attention to the vandalism on the page, your contributions are worthwhile. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Icon-msn-tri.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Icon-msn-tri.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 23:12, 13 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
