Copyright and encyclopedic content[edit]

There were two problems with your contribution to the Wallace page. 1) It was copied and pasted directly from another website. Wikipedia has very specific licensing requirements so that its content can remained freely available. Using any sort of copyrighted content violates this license. Also, such copying and pasting is plagiarism, which violates the OSU code of student conduct. 2) It was promotional material from a commercial website. There are very specific guidelines on what constitutes encyclopedic conduct, and this it not it. Please read both WP:RELIABLE and WP:NOTADVERTISING. Nposs (talk) 15:57, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
