Just in case you were in need of a name for what you were describing in the edit summary, it is called use–mention distinction. @Imeriki al-Shimoni: Thank you for the useful hint, I indeed do not recall having seen this article. It would be useful, if linguistics or typography had coined a similar term, since the philosophic perspective might be more prone to lack applicability.
