The town is of some significance to Texas panhandle history. It's namesake is a truly significant figure in Texas panhandle history. I was hoping that others with a similar interest would add more content, but I see that hasn't happened. I didn't want to crib directly from The Handbook of Texas as the sole source.

Problems with upload of File:Comparative table of diaphragm numbers.svg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Comparative table of diaphragm numbers.svg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or provided a license tag. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

To add this information, select the appropriate license tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the information to the image's description. If you can't find a suitable license tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 05:07, 25 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I drew this diagram based on the jpg file that had been uploaded with the same chart. When clicking on the chart, these are the comments on the image source: "Blatant borrowing of David Stein's scan of an 1899 article. Photo Miniature, Vol. 1 No. 1, New York, April 1899"

My reason for uploading a re-implementation of the chart was to clean up the JPG artifacts and produce a more attractive version of the same information.

Aside from the formatting, the listed information is a simple aggregation of facts.

A tag has been placed on File:Catesby Oklahoma Church.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a file licensed as "for non-commercial use only", "no derivative use", "for Wikipedia use only", or "used with permission"; and it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then:

  • state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions.
  • add the relevant copyright tag and if necessary, a complete fair use rationale.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
