A tag has been placed on On-line media in Connecticut requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ╟─TreasuryTagcontribs─╢ 21:13, 3 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Directory listings on CT page[edit]

If you read over WP:NOT specifically WP:NOTDIR you'll see that listing every media outlet in or related to Connecticut is not allowed. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and not a yellow pages directory for anything. By externally linking those media outlets to the Wikipedia page, you have created 3 sections worth of advertising on what is meant to be used for encyclopedic content. This also clearly is in conflict with WP:ELNO for the advertising, links to blogs, and the fact that they are all indirectly related to the topic, Connecticut. Feel free to respond if you think I am in any way misinterpreting the rules. ->Btl (talk) 08:34, 22 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Universal health care in Connecticut[edit]

Hi Rslate. I appreciate your concern, and thank you for contacting me. However, I was not the editor who removed the section on universal health care. I merely streamlined the section; it was another editor(s) who removed in their entirety this subsection and the subsection on political corruption. I suspect that other(s) reasoning was that this was too specific a topic for the article about the state, but perhaps this information could be added to an appropriate article on a more specific subject, whether existing or a new article created to cover this subject. Please let me know if there's anything else I can tell you. Qqqqqq (talk) 00:03, 9 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
