- Rachmaninov is the usual UK spelling of his name. (In fact Henry Wood preferred the American version "—off", and argued with the BBC about using it: "I cannot take the responsibility for teaching my friend how to spell his name, and as a very recent photograph he gave me is signed RACHMANINOFF we must not spell the name in our programme with a final v." Nevertheless, "—ov" has, sadly, prevailed here, and in an article with generally UK spelling, is, I think, advisable. The raging pedants at the BBC are now trying to get us to spell the name "Rakhmaninov" but they will not succeed.)
- The Gramophone Company was HMV. You had it piped to "Gramophone", which is a magazine.
- Your new phrasing about the soli/ensembles would be all right, I think. Your earlier draft "Solo lines for each vocalist intersperse passages of ensemble singing by all voices together" removed the (it seems to me) useful information about the 12-part writing. I think it is still worth adding that some singers get more than one solo.
- I have never added, because I cannot think of a citation, that RVW kept Eva Turner's line away from the other sopranos because hers was such a different kind of voice from theirs. If you have anything on this it would be useful.
