Academic mention[edit]

I don't recall which article that was from, do you know? It's ancient history by now, but I'm interested to see if the authors of this paper have gotten the situation right. { Ben S. Nelson } 04:27, 18 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry -- I meant, what wiki it was from. { Ben S. Nelson } 14:53, 18 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding this post, although I think you're on the right side of that debate, you should avoid discussing other volunteers at AfD. --Explodicle (T/C) 18:58, 27 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your interest. For some strange reasons I was no longer able to make it work with unicode work on my machine (perhaps I should have tried harder).

As to your question, my first reaction would be to feed the information (pagename, timestamp) into the usual class in wikipedia.py that you want to use. The script UserContributions.py was simply for filling a gap in wikipedia.py and I do think a User class should be incorporated into the pywikipedia framework - and it should be fairly straightforward.

Provide the script for Deletionpedia?[edit]

Have you considered sharing the script used for exporting articles from Wikipedia to Deletionpedia? I would be very interested in this. You are welcome to email me. Rumpsenate (talk) 05:55, 17 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Actually what is really needed is a script to collect the revision data for every edit and mirror it in real time. The only difference would be that deletions would not be mirrored. So it would be a combination Deletionpedia/Wikipedia mirror. I think with the RPED functionality, we may soon have that for all practical purposes. However, there are some other enhancements that need to be made as well. Tisane (talk) 05:01, 10 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
