Welcome!!

Hello, Scalzi, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, please see our help pages, and if you can't find what you are looking for there, please feel free to [[User talk:{{{me}}}|leave me a message]]. Although the photo is perfectly cromulent in and of itself, I'm sure someone will be annoyed that you added it yourself. Nevertheless, I've encased it in a shiny new infobox in the John Scalzi article. Be seeing you.... Karen | Talk | contribs 19:58, 4 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:Scalzidevil.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Scalzidevil.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 20:16, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

Actually, yeah. You need to do this. Tag it as self-created and released for use and it should be okay. (You said it all in the description, but these bots don't look at that.) Karen | Talk | contribs 20:21, 4 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Images on Wikipedia[edit]

Hello! I wanted to let you know that I have deleted the image of you on your Wikipedia page, since unfortunately it looks like it was not released under the correct license. Wikipedia protocol is typically to try and contact the person who uploaded the original image. But since User:Sodakan, the original uploader, does not have a talk page, I decided to let you know instead, since you are the original copyright holder. (I admittedly don't know if it's allowed to contact the subject of a Wikipedia article directly on Wikipedia, so I'm hoping other users more experienced than I will WP:GOODFAITH.) I started a discussion for the disputed image in question. If you want to restore the image to Wikipedia, or any alternative images that you think are encyclopedic and topical for your Wikipedia page, that are hosted on Flickr, you can see the appropriate licenses here: WP:Upload/Flickr and review the WP:IUP. Thank you! Werónika (talk) 08:57, 4 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
