Regarding the redirect on I Can't Dance[edit]

In URL encoding, "%27" is synonymous with "'" (apostrophe). As in, they actually mean the same thing. So I think what you ended up doing was redirecting the article to itself. I'm not sure what effect that would have had, but it might have prevented the page from coming up at all. (See User:Why Not A Duck/sredir.) -- Why Not A Duck 21:09, 11 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I Understand that the URL encoding for %27 is the same as the apostrophe,
but the thing is that it seems when you click on the google search link to the I can't Dance page, youll see that its an old version that says "This page was last modified on 15 July 2008, at 10:21." , with "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I_Can't_Dance" as the URL.
I've made sure to test this out on muiltiple browsers, and ive cleared the temporary files in each to be sure that im not looking at a cached page stored locally. Wikipedia seems to link to an old or alternative page, but as soon as you navigate away from this page, the apostrophe is transcoded and therefore you end up at the actual up-to-date page.
Heading over to the URL "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I_Can%27t_Dance" leads you to the actual page that says "This page was last modified on 11 August 2008, at 11:10"
Perhaps It wasnt a good idea to edit the page without talking about it first. but all I was tring to do was to redirect to the transcoded URL so that the out-of-date page would be bypassed entirely.Silver007 (talk) 06:11, 12 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Nope. I get the "11 August 2008, at 11:10" page via either link. Is it possible that you've got a caching web proxy somewhere between you and Wikipedia? (I do, but apparently ours is behaving itself in this instance.) -- Why Not A Duck 18:01, 12 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
In a strange turn of events, the problem seems to have fixed itself, I cant say for sure what was the problem, but its more than likely it was just a problem on my end. I'm not using any kind of proxy, im using my Notebook that is wireless to my modem and Bell Sympatico is my ISP. It dosnet really make any sense. But o well. next time I encounter something like this ill talk about it first. Silver007 (talk) 06:12, 13 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for April 9[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Blues Brothers 2000, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Willie Hall. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
