TCM

I can tell you one major problem lies in the reception section. You discuss the film from a historical stand point (i.e. talking about it based on its original release), but then make comments toward it's critical reception that are backed by present day reviews. In the first paragraph of the reception section, the first three reviews that I read are from within the past decade, and for a film that is 35+ years old, it isn't accurate to judge the critical reception then based on it now. The first reception for this page should be reception from 30 years ago. There should be a distinction between how it was viewed back then and how it is viewed now, because a significant amount of time has passed and we cannot simply merge both generations of reviews.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 14:49, 7 August 2010 (UTC)

I wouldn't say it needs major work. I mean, I didn't read the entire section, but I would assume that it's more of a reordering and rewording of stuff. I'll take a more in-depth look at it when I can. It certainly looks better than it did the last time I saw it.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 17:48, 7 August 2010 (UTC)

WP Horror in the Signpost

I noticed that WikiProject Horror has fallen into semi-active status, although user:Andrzejbanas continues to update the project's page and at least three other members regularly edit articles about horror films. A couple years ago, a request was made to feature the project in the Signpost's WikiProject Report. I would like to fulfill your project's request if you and some of your fellow members would be interested in trying to revive the project. The publicity from the Signpost would definitely help a revival effort as well as bring attention to the accomplishments you and your fellow project members have already achieved. If you're interested, please let me know by leaving a note here or on my talk page. -Mabeenot (talk) 02:51, 25 August 2010 (UTC)

FARs

Hi TaerkastUA, and thank you for contributing at WP:FAR. In the future, though, please only nominate one article at once. Nominators are allowed to have one nomination in each section (FAR and FARC) when the page is short (sub-20 articles, usually) and one nomination period when the page is long (greater than 25, normally). The in-between area is left up to delegate discretion. This limitation is to prevent reviewer fatigue and to try to not split editor attention between multiple articles if they have several that they are interested in nominated at once. I'm going to leave both nominations up for now, this is more of a "in the future" notification. Thank you, and please let me know if you have any questions - Dana boomer (talk) 18:23, 30 August 2010 (UTC)

Thank you for the quick response. In the meantime, another editor has removed the second FAR, citing basically the same reasons as I did above. I'm going to leave their edit as is (no need to edit war, it's not a big deal!), but feel free to re-transcribe the nomination when the first one moves to FARC (about two weeks). I'll post a note on the page to that effect. When you re-transcribe, just add a note stating what happened and sign it. Thanks! Dana boomer (talk) 23:37, 30 August 2010 (UTC)
