Thanks![edit]

Thanks for posting. I've looked over them all, so I'm pretty familiarized with the place. I've actually been using Wikipedia for quite some time, but it just recently occurred to me that I should make an account...

Thank you for posting!

Welcome to Wikipedia, The Unwanted Comment! I am Omtay38 and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!

Your recent edits[edit]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 05:09, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

User page[edit]

Hey there! Welcome to wikipedia! I've noticed you've taken my user page style. I'm flattered that you've enjoyed it so much. If you need help configuring parts of it, feel free to let me know! Best regards! --omtay38 06:46, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there. I notice you kept putting Omtay's name back after he took it out of your userpage. I don't think you understand why he was doing it, and how the markup you used works. I've started you a page User:The Unwanted Comment/Status as the equivalent of what Omtay uses in his. When Omtay's name was in there, your user page was actually telling people whether Omtay was around. If you look at the history of User:Omtay38/Status, you can see what Omtay changes to alter what his userpage says each time. You'll need to make similar changes to your version to make it work. I suspect you'll need to change more than I did, but Omtay is the one to ask about that. Why not ask him on his talkpage? Skittle (talk) 13:58, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you! I couldn't figure out how to start one of those, and I wasn't able to stay awake much longer, so I was going to ask how you did that during my free time.

Skittle- Thanks for starting me one.

Editing comments[edit]

Hi!

Just letting you know that you really shouldn't edit others' comments on talk pages - even if there are spelling errors. And welcome to Wikipedia! --Aseld talk 08:02, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
