diablo talk[edit]

HI -just noticed your message.

"The fact still stands, that i got my direct quote from a Game Review removed"

Can you bring that up on the diablo talk page - I've left a similar message there with more details.87.102.86.73 (talk) 15:54, 3 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Bringing in other wiki's?[edit]

I would be very, very careful with merging in content from a fan-run Wikia, regardless of license. I know jack-squat about the actual Diablo franchise, but looking around, most of their articles rely substantially on primary sources and are full of content that a general reader on Wikipedia would describe as "fancruft", especially in relation to fiction. Much of their content, if merged or otherwise transferred here, would probably fall into original research problems. You're generally better off finding and researching your own sources, and writing articles in your own words. However, if they happen to have a decent point on something referenced to a good secondary source, don't hesitate to nick the source to improve the quality of articles here. Still link to the fan wiki for fiction articles, as they often provide good additional material that's simply not appropriate to the general overview level of Wikipedia, but still useful to someone who wants to dig up more (ie, see the differences between Combine (Half-Life) and its Wikia counterpart). Hope that helps somewhat. Is there a particular Diablo article you have in mind in regards to this? -- Sabre (talk) 23:32, 16 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
