Ciarán Cuffe[edit]

Hi, I did not remove the info about Ciarán Cuffe because I did not know if it was true or false, though I suspected it was false. I add the citation needed tag in order that anyone with a source could put it in, or if not then I would have removed said info a few days later. In past, I have often jumped and removed what I thought was spurious only to have them reverted with citations later. Now I tag such info and see if a source is provided, if one is not provided within a few days, I delete the false info. In this case you beat me to it. regards S. Libellious comments[edit]

Hi, Firstly, how would I know what is libellous to one individual and what is not? If someone writes "Ciarán Cuffe likes to dress up as Queen Victoria". I can see that this is patently untrue and will remove it. If someone writes "CC is involved with builders/developers etc", I may think that this in untrue but how can I prove it? I can do an internet search, and I will not find anything but absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. Also, the text says "he reportedly has plans..." note they used the word reportedly, kind of covering themselves.

I know official policy says it should be removed straight away rather tagged with cite, I prefer to give the benefit of the doubt. Maybe I'll review my own policy. Mind you, I'm not as bad as some. On Enda Kenny's page some added nonsense about Enda recording a rap album, which someone else the added a cite tag to!

Secondly, your concern that the libellous info is in the article info. Not too many people read the history anyway but if you feel it should be removed then you have to contact an Administrator. Regards, Snappy56 17:11, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I accept the official Wikipedia policy, I will abide by it in future, and thank you for pointing it out to me. regards, Snappy56 18:26, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image source problem with Image:Bua Training2.jpg[edit]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

This is an automated message from a robot. You have recently uploaded Image:Bua Training2.jpg. The file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 19:33, 15 September 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. If you believe you received this message in error, please notify the bot's owner. Orphaned non-free media (Image:Bua Training2.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Bua Training2.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 04:45, 15 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Luke 'Ming' Flanagan[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Luke 'Ming' Flanagan, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

nn candidate, source links do not work

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. I undid your undoing of my edits. I did not remove that material at all and am certainly NOT a vandal. I simply moved it to a more relevant section, i.e. the one discussing Davies' ridiculous one man war on political correctness. If you think it should be moved elsewhere (it is also relevant to his economic libertarian principles), please make your case. Famousdog (talk) 10:23, 17 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
