Welcome to Wikipedia. If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Young Liberals (Australia), you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. LibStar (talk) 00:07, 23 June 2010 (UTC)

are you a member of the Young Liberals? interesting that you seem to know something about Wikipedia despite making one edit before contacting me. Also since you know something about Wikipedia you should know that large scale removal of content without discussion is not permitted. your style of editing indicates you have a connection to the Young Liberals and wish to censor out any negative information. LibStar (talk) 08:03, 26 June 2010 (UTC)
the fact you know how to edit in Wiki mark up language means you are not a newcomer. if you are support a variety of political parties, then why not edit "contentious" material in other articles. see WP:SPA. LibStar (talk) 02:23, 30 June 2010 (UTC)

Warning for edit warring

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Young Liberals (Australia)‎. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If the edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. LibStar (talk) 02:24, 30 June 2010 (UTC)

Regarding report

Hi Tariqabjotu. Would it be possible for you to give me an explanation on why my report [1] was not an edit war violation? As the other two editors involved on the page in question do not seem interested in any discussion about the content, would it also be possible for you to recommend where I should go from here? I am not sure what to do. Kind regards, VesaTen (talk) 13:45, 1 July 2010 (UTC)

The three edits you mentioned in your report consisted of two reverts by the editor in question, spaced a week apart, and then another revert from a different editor. In the course of things, however, you reverted three times. So, I'm not sure why you expect me to block one or both of them, and not you. I skipped over reading your entire paragraph on AN3 as it was clear there was no violation, but I imagine -- if you really want to pursue the matter further -- you can open a request for comment. -- tariqabjotu 14:02, 1 July 2010 (UTC)
VesaTen, you have consistently failed to get consensus for large scale removal of content. You only seem interested in one article and removing criticism and not building articles, see WP:SPA. And now try to get others blocked despite no violation of WP:3RR. This behaviour to me points to POV pushing and conflict of interest. As previously stated I do not believe you are a newcomer, your 2nd edit is in wiki markup language and refers to a number of guidelines that no newcomer can immediately know. Please gain consensus for changes and start editing a variety of articles. If you are solely interested in removing criticism of Young Liberals it would suggest a strong conflict of interest. LibStar (talk) 02:06, 2 July 2010 (UTC)
do you have any intention to edit more than one article? Or is your sole intention here to remove criticism of young libs? LibStar (talk) 08:47, 3 July 2010 (UTC)
I strongly advise you to edit a variety of articles to get as feel of how Wikipedia works. Simply wanting to edit one article to your own perceived standards without getting experience on a variety of articles is not advisable. In my years on wikipedia every single single purpose editor has either wanted to censor material or push bias. Why such a strong interest in the young libs? LibStar (talk) 04:33, 4 July 2010 (UTC)
