September 2014[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Bonadea. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to the page Talk:Search engine optimization, because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. bonadea contributions talk 12:51, 15 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your message on my user talk page. The link you replaced should actually have been removed completely and not replaced, and the link you added is clearly inappropriate for Wikipedia in any case. Please see this information about what types of links should not be added to Wikipedia articles. Thank you. --bonadea contributions talk 13:14, 15 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

In order to change a reference in an article, you have to find the location of the reference in the text. You can click on the small ^ in front of the reference to be taken to where the footnote is in the text, and then you edit that section.

Please make sure that the links you add as references meet these requirements, and that the link actually acts as a source for the information in the Wikipedia article. Please also note that it is always better to have a dead link than a link that is inappropriate for Wikipedia. Thanks, --bonadea contributions talk 15:55, 16 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
