[edit] Lines
Currently Valencia Metro operates one half of its first line, with the other half still under construction and a second still on a planning stage: Line 1 (14.5 km), in which only 4.7km are functional and 9.8km still under construction on a common south-north trajectory. It's a common mistake to confuse every segment of construction of the first line to be independent, but when the system is fully completed it will form a single continuous line and no transfers will be necessary to continue a trip. The separate east-west Line 2 (18.2 km) will connect mainly the Valencia Municipality with San Diego Municipality of the same city, and it is in the preliminary planning stage.
